As a realist, I'd say that it is very sad that you judge success in football by comparing your team to OSU.

Colorado's class is Top 20. Which is nice after the terrible classes we've had the past couple years. We get that RB from Cali and we could be a top 15 or so class. Not bad. Boise State II here we come.

avg star rating. CU>>>>>OSU
let me see Osu's class is already wrapped up, with 27 and CU has only 16, yeah im confident we'll finish ahead of you.

we have 7 four stars, and you have 6. We are waiting for Darrell scott to chose us or UT, and we're only one spot behind you with 11 less players right now.

You compare your program to the lowest of the low, with aspirations of being A&M one day.

Let’s look at the 2007 All-Big 12 team and see where each player ranked according to Rivals.com’s star system. My guess is there’s some players that completely swooped in under the radar.
Listed below are all the first-teamers along with their original star score (out of five) plus their individual ranking for their respective position.
FIRST-TEAM OFFENSE
Adam Spieker, C, Missouri: 3 stars as OG (No. 26)
Duke Robinson, OG Oklahoma: 4 as OT (15)
Anthony Collins, OT, Kansas: 2 as DE (unranked)
Tony Hills, OT, Texas: 5 as TE (1)
Louis Vasquez, OT, Texas Tech: 3 (24)
Brandon Pettigrew, TE, Oklahoma State: 2 (unranked)
Michael Crabtree, WR, Texas Tech: 4 as ATH (16)
Jordy Nelson, WR, Kansas State: walk-on
Jamaal Charles, RB, Texas: 4 (7)
Dantrell Savage, RB, Oklahoma State: 4 (unranked, juco)
Chase Daniel, QB, Missouri: 3 (6)
Jeremy Maclin, AP, Missouri: 4 as WR (24)
Jeff Wolfert, PK, Missouri: walk-on
FIRST-TEAM DEFENSE
George Hypolite, DT, Colorado: 3 as FB (13)
James McClinton, DT, Kansas: 3 (28)
Auston English, DE, Oklahoma: 3 (15)
Lorenzo Williams, DT, Missouri: 3 as LB (46)
Jordon Dizon, LB, Colorado: 3 as FB (8)
Curtis Lofton, LB, Oklahoma: 4 (4)
Joe Mortensen, LB, Kansas: 2 (unranked)
Sean Weatherspoon, LB, Missouri: 2 (unranked)
Aqib Talib, CB, Kansas: 2 (unranked)
Terrence Wheatley, CB, Colorado: 3 (57)
Reggie Smith, CB, Oklahoma: 4 (5)
William Moore, FS, Missouri: 3 as WR (64)
Tim Reyer, P, Kansas State: walk-on
What’s this tell me? This sample size is certainly small, but how about the fact that Crabtree and Maclin were the only players from a school other than Oklahoma or Texas to receive four or more stars? Three defensive standouts didn’t earn a national position ranking, while an All-American on offense, K-State’s Nelson, couldn’t even nab a scholarship coming out of high school.

it also tells you that the rankings place a lot of weight on a player getting offers from the likes of texas and OU. A better indication will be to look at the 1st round of the NFL draft from previous years, All Conference teams are also somewhat political...

You're a twat. OSU's class is already maxed out. You already have 27 recruits. You're not going to get any better. Meanwhile CU only has 16 and is one spot below. CU will finish ahead of OSU.
and i don't give a shit about your women's kegel 1st place trophy, or the men's national championship in foosball.

this is true. it's virtually impossible for a school like USC, Florida State, Notre Dame, or Texas to get a low ranked recruiting class because many of the players are ranked high simply due to that school's interest.

Wow, look at Mr. Uninformed. It must suck all the time to make silly statements that you will later have to go back on. And a rude little girl at that.
I guarantee you OSU's class will be at least 28 and possibly 29. We currently are trying to pry a RB away from arKy and get a LB from Ohio.

you guys are both putting way too much faith in the rankings. remember when CU signed the #1 HS QB and #1 HS RB in the same year? how did that turn out?

Would you like me to bait you into another arguement about how silly the rankings are (UW signed 26, 5 - 4 star, 14 - 3 star, ave 2.92 and yet finished ahead of OSU with 27, 6 - 4 star, 16 - 3 star, ave 3.04) or would you like to just be excited for your school and the 1st time they have beaten OSU at recruiting this century?
Again, comparing your school, which has a national championship in recent history, to OSU and being happy you out recruited them for the 1st time is extremely sad.
I can see the t-shirts for sale now, "CU - 15, OSU - 27."

but the facts are that colorado is ranked a little more than 10 spots ahead in recruiting with 7 less recruits than OSU.
Colorado dominated OSU in the recruiting area. THose are facts. I won the debate, now just let both teams settle the score on the feild.

I don't have a school. I don't really cheer for any college teams because the college I went to is a DIII non scholarship small Christian school. I didn't make any baseless accusations, I reiterated what has been stated on many publications and it's common knowledge that his mother was telling him to play at CU. I just think it's funny as hell that an 18 yr old kid is going to go somewhere because his mommy made him.

common knowledge? from what credible non biased sources dumbass? I think it's funny how it's mainly the fair weather non alumni UT fans who are the ones that are butt hurt about this.
You lost a recruit. Major Appletits never coached runningbacks, darian hagan had a 2 year relationship with scott, and was like a father figure, while his uncle was on the squad.
Don't be a whiny bitch because your school half assed recruited scott. Major apple who?

Ive read and heard on the recruiting ESPN special that his mom was telling him to go to CU because his uncle is there and its closer to home. Seems like a fairly plausible thing to me, not a baseless accusation. Of course, I don't know if he wanted to go there anyway without his mom chiming in.

He recruited what might be USM's best class ever.. (1) 5 star, (2) 4 stars, (11), 3 stars.. he did a fantastic job..He certainly has revived the program already...
