6-8 last 14 games - that is how we started the 99 season, before going 46-7 to claim the championship... not that that means anything, I'm just saying...

Time to start righting the ship.

3 keys:

1. move the ball (and cut!),
2. be aggressive at both ends (play like you care),
3. keep hammering away at that rock!

One main thing we've done this year in our fluke losses is let the other team come out and try to shoot some shots on us. We can't let this Minnesota team come out confident and hitting shots.

I don't think the lack of ball movt is selfishness - they are just way out of sync and have been since all the injuries. It's like they have to start all over again when it comes to chemistry.

:lol Charlotte seems to beat the elite teams every year. Last season they beat the Spurs, Mavs, and Suns at least once. This year they've already surprised the Celtics, possibibly the Pistons, and I'm sure they'll take one against the Spurs if recent trends are to continue.

Ruff- Duncan doesn't use his left like he used to, I'm not sure why.
I assume comfort level. He's older, his game is settled, he goes with his strengths. He'll still use his left now and then, he can be effective with it.
I'm with you, I'd like to see him mix it up more. But I trust his judgement. If he's staying with his right at this point in his career he must have a reason.

Man, is everyone else HAPPY that the Wiz are winning without Arenas? I sure am...Oh, yeah. The defense and ball movement is light-years better.

The question is whether Gilbert is watching and learning, or whether he is determined to get his stats for his contract year. My money is on the latter, unfortunately.

They look like they're having fun now - that's good. Teams always play better when they are enjoying the game. The ball movt has been much better in the 3rd.

However, that's twice they've messed up the end of the quarter.

Where are the Vaughn haters now? It's his intensity that's driving most of our good play.

I'm glad the Wolves are making them gut it out. It's the only way to find the team identity again.

He's used it. Not like the early years, but it's there.
I'd have to go back through games to be sure, but we've seen it in most games this season when he's playing well. When he's off we don't see it, he stays with his right.

Trust me, I've been looking for it all season and he's used it less than once a game.

As for not using it when he's off, I think that's the problem. He gets blocked a couple of times shooting righty when he should be shooting it with the left (driving to the middle from the right block, for eg). He should use it all the time - it will free up his right.

Good to see the Spurs put it away in the 4th.

Pop gave some good minutes to Elson, Udoka, and Richardson while resting Finley and Bowen.

The big 3 did their thing with some nice contributions from Oberto and Vaughn and quiet outing by Finley.

We finally got Pop his 600th win. Not that it matters to him at all. I thought we had a lot better effort on defense. Better rotations, more challenges at the rim, more hustle on loose balls. Defense is always the key. Although we didn't put it away until late, it was a good win. Now we need to get a streak going.
