The Clippers are doing a nice job early but it's not the first time the Mavs fall down early to come back and thump a team. Don't get excited yet.

Eventually I would think Dallas's depth will wear down the Clippers.

They're just making shots they're supposed to make vs. a weak Dallas defense.

Laugh all you want about Bass but he's a steal pickup for the Mavs. He gives a lot of teams fits and will certainly help against the Spurs should we meet in the playoffs.

Damn why do the Mavs always find ways to lose to the worst teams in the NBA?
This is what happens when you're primarily a jumpshooting team that doesn't play defense. When the shots aren't falling your defense can't make stops to get you easy transition buckets. This is also why the Mavs will never win a championship. Enjoy the 50+ regular season wins though.

Dude you know last season the Mavs had one of the best defenses in the league. This season we're just struggling at everything, defense included. They still have several months to sort things out before the playoffs roll around, so i'm not the least bit worried.

Because Dallas is insecure.
A championship-minded team would go for the tie, rather than for the win.

All they needed was a 24-second violation, but Tim Thomas wanted to be the hero.

You're right. There's nothing exciting about coming from 9 down in the last 5:00 and hitting a game-winning three at the buzzer.

Um..Avery was running and jumping up and down the court..last time I checked this is January not April. And I also said it's ok for players to do that but I've never seen a coach act like he just won the title after a game in January especially against a pathetic team like the Clippers!!!!!!
If you coached the Mavs you would do the same. Not easy to coach a team when you are the toughest guy on it.

It's not like he's planning a parade over the win. He was happy that his team didn't give up on themselves and came back to win the game. What's the problem with that?

Great game..Dallas deserved to win because the Clippers are idiots..Coach Dunleavy should have told his players what to do..and Thomas if he had half a brain would have known that he should have held the ball until the shot clock was about to expire!
Tim Thomas, Al Thorton and Dunleavy lost the game for the clips...
Thomas, no explaination needed
Thorton, taking ill-advised shots
Dunleavy, for having TT in the game on that last clips possesion, playing Thorton on Dirk

No surprises here. Mavs just winning games their supposed to win against weaker opponents that are just losing games their supposed to be losing while an idiot named spursdynasty is just being a faggot like he's supposed to while he's drumming on drums he's supposed to drum on. And now he's just making excuses that he's supposed to make. I'm assuming now he'll just go make a new thread he's supposed to make then his alternate screenname dazed and confused will just quickly be the first to reply like he's just supposed to quickly reply in it. And it doesn't matter what any of us other posters say. Hell, we're just tryin to post some posts.

He certainly has never done that in the playoffs, especially in Game 7's OT. I don't remember him hitting two clutch jumper, one from the wing and the other from the FT line. What a bad player!

Actually I don't care if Dallas won it's one basketball game. Sorry my life doesn't revolve around Dallas and what they do. My life isn't the Spurs either if they win great if they don't life goes on!
Props to you. Unfortunately some of your brethren aren't the same way.
Also, Avery is the coach and should act like one. I understand players jumping up and down over the win and I have no problem with Avery being excited over the win; but I do have a problem with him running and jumping up and down with the players that was just plain stupid. He could have shown his excitment without acting like a fool. Now if this was the playoffs I understand that...but you don't run around grabbing players, jumping up and down over a regular season win in January especially against the Clippers.
I just watched the ending archived on the League Pass BB site about 5 times. I have no idea what you're talking about. Avery was hardly jumping around or acting like a fool. He was excited and was congratulating his players--that's about it.
