LeBron ticketed for speeding
Cavs star accused of going 101 in 65 mph zone
MEDINA, Ohio (AP) -- Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James was ticketed by the State Highway Patrol for allegedly driving 101 mph on an interstate highway.
James, who drives a 2008 Mercedes, was cited in a 65 mph zone on Interstate 71 near Medina at 2:43 a.m. on Dec. 30 -- his 23rd birthday.
Cleveland attorney Colin Jennings filed a not guilty plea for James on Tuesday in Medina Municipal Court. A hearing is scheduled for Feb. 11, the same day the Cavaliers are scheduled to play in Orlando against the Magic.
Other details about the traffic stop were not available.
An e-mail was sent to James' publicist seeking comment Sunday night. James' agent, Keith Estabrook, could not be reached.
Medina is about 30 miles south of Cleveland.

If you get caught in Ohio and your name is Lebron James, it's just a speeding ticket. Pay your fine and get your 2 points.
Actually, with the way pro athletes are, he should be commended he wasn't drunk off his ass. Afterall it was his birthday, you would think he would have had atleast a few.
I was just disappointed with his choice of car. If I'm making tons of money like him, I'm driving something sweeter than a Mercedes

Who cares...I do over 100 on a weekly basis and I drive a POS... :lol
It doesn't take much to hit 100 especially in whatever he was driving...not a big deal at all unless you're being stupid (ie, in traffic, etc)

I was thinking the same thing how is he pleading not gulity when he was going over 100 miles per hour?
Also you don't know if Lebron was driving a CL 65 Benz which has over 600 horse power and cost over $200K!
dude that is standard procedure as in any case. You don't just go ahead and plead guilty.

Romo
I know who was referring to...just confused as to why he made such an ignorant statment...
"all week" = weekend?
"partying" = hanging out at a beach house watching football with teammates and gf/wives and their family?
The team was told to get away from football for the weekend...Romo did nothing wrong. Brett Favre was in Mississippi...probably hunting. The only reason nobody cared is because he wasn't with Jessica Simpson...
It's just ridiculous to pin the Cowboys loss on Romo, Witten, and Carpenter going to Mexico.

pin it on something because they fucking sucked yesterday
How about:
Dumb penalties at very costly times
Dropped passes
Missed tackles
Poor clock management
Poorly run routes (ie, Crayton at the end on 3rd and 11...perfect pass from Romo if Crayton hadn't stopped on the route)
Poorly thrown balls
or
Romo because he went to Mexico...
Fucking stupid.

word on the street was it was a c300.
But I looked that car up and it is badass. I'm just not a big MB guy, they are nice though. I think that if your car has over 500 horsepower and its after 2AM when nobody is on the streets you should be allowed to drive 100mph.

Doesn't that lessen the charge/fine if you say not guilty?

it depends on your lawyer and the judge.
the only reason you choose to say not guilty is because you want your lawyer to fight this ticket. why would you go out without a fight?

I am guessing he did not have the option to pay it or he would have done so.
it must be reckless driving, same thing happened to me and it's required to go to court. and beleive it or not, some judges put people in jail for a few days for that.

LeBron admits driving 101 mph
James will travel again at that speed 'maybe at times'
CLEVELAND (AP) -- LeBron James acknowledged driving 101 mph on the highway on his 23rd birthday, and gave no assurance he wouldn't go that fast again.
The Cleveland Cavaliers superstar was ticketed by the State Highway Patrol on Interstate 71 in suburban Medina at nearly 3 a.m. on Dec. 30. He was driving in a 65 mph zone, and the patrol said it's the first time James was ticketed.
"I was doing 101," James said Monday after practice. "That's it. I was speeding. I've just got to abide by the law. I got caught. It happens."
Lawyer Colin Jennings filed a not guilty plea for James in Medina Municipal Court. A hearing is scheduled for Feb. 11, when the Cavaliers play in Orlando.
When James was asked if he will continue traveling at such speed, he said: "I don't know, maybe at times. It's not a big deal to me. You've just got to abide by the rules that's all. I made a mistake and I'll live with it."
James said he was heading home after the team arrived in Cleveland from New Orleans, where they had lost to the Hornets a few hours earlier.
"I'm not going to jail or nothing like that," he said. "I wasn't drunk. I was just speeding. That's it."
Plead 'not guilty' and lawyered up...lol...I had one doing 112 in a 65 once and mailed it in. There is no getting out of that kind of ticket. Just pay it and move on.

Yeah if the cop shows up in court the judge is not dropping the ticket. LeBron should just pay it and move on.
