Really? Because UT is ranked higher than uo right now 10/11 altho things can change a lot in a few weeks. UT 5 last year to uo's 14. 06 was 5/9 UT. How is that beating their a$$?

...but if Texas gets more of the better recruits as a whole, and has a better class, that means squat. Your logic pattern sometimes doesn't draw that straight line from A to B. Sort of a squiggle.

I am assuming you are using the Rivals.com rankings, if that is the case then Texas will outrank OU, using the less biased Scout.com things change I think. I know Texas is ranked high but when it comes to getting the impact players OU is doing a better job with the Adrian Peterson's of the world, VY was the last real difference maker Mack has reeled in. The rest of his classes have been filled with players who turned out to be over-ranked or have not made it for some reason. Players like Joaquin Iglesias was not ranked highly but was a much better player than say Montrae Webber.

Actually, no. UT almost always has the best recruiting class in the B12 and Scouts rankings back that up. Right now it has an even higher dispairity for UT, as they are 7 while uo is 15, while Rivals has it 10/11. So.... I guess that means according to Scout, which is less biased, UTs recruits are even better than what Rivals thinks. As for a guy like Peterman, someone like that comes along once in a blue moon. I think UT did pretty decent settling for Charles. All wins aren't wins when it comes to recruiting, by the way. Just think, that same class that uo beat UT on Peterman (overall #1) they also beat UT on Bomar (overall #3). How'd THAT work out?

no doubt that recruiting rankings don't equate to automatic success but if you are gettingt he impact guys you are doing all right. OU will finish ahead of UT this year as they have 5-6 more spots left while UT is done. I am not trying to argue the point but when you take a look at the classes recently OU has done a better job of getting the players they want while UT has been loading up on positions they don't need b/c the players are ranked so highly.

^Well, our class for '08 is pretty much wrapped up. The main guy is Darrell Scott out of California, ranked by most services as the #1 RB prospect in the country.

From what I've read we're in the lead for his services since Charles has now declared for the NFL draft. He also recently canceled his trip to Florida. Looks good for us, getting him to top this class off should land us in the top 5 in the country.

Now the trick is to produce results on the field.

Its just a place holder where they need a fill. Mike Gundy was a WR coach at OSU originally. Little brother stoops hired Josh Heupel as a TE coach at Zona before he went back to uo. Cale Gundy is the RB coach at uo.
