Ok anybody used them to buy textbooks from before? How fast are they? I just bought a book from there. Will it arrive to my home or do I have to pick it up somewhere?

it will arrive at your house, it will arrive quickly depending on if you bought it from Amazon or from a third party seller on Amazon. if it was a used textbook chances are it was from a third party seller, most of which are reputable and offer good quick service, but amazon rapes sellers on shipping fees so if they ship it by media mail it could take 7-10 days to arrive.

oh ok thanks!
My friend did this and it was an absolute disaster. Took him 3 months to get a refund because they never sent it. Poor communication.
I am fairly certain it was a used one from a third party.
I have always had problems with third party amazon sellers. If its a third party I won't use amazon anymore. Not worth saving a few bucks to wait so long to get something.

As long as you check the reviews of the vendor that you're buying from you should be good. If someone's selling a book $20 dollars cheaper but has shitty reviews don't risk it.

I wasn't getting textbooks, but I've had good luck with Alibris.com and their third-party sellers.

I have bought some new directly from Amazon, and they got shipped out in a couple of days. I chose the free shipping so that took about a week after they were shipped.

Very ignorant statement, only only need to file an A to Z claim and you will usually get your funds back within 7 days if the seller cannot provide proof of shipment and proof that it actually got delivered, i am a large seller on Amazon and even if i give a tracking # showing the item was delivered, and someone says they didnt get it guess what? Amazon still gives them their money back and screws me. Unless you ship it with signed delivery you are screwed, in most cases i dont but ive started to do it more often with apartments as i seem to get ripped from people living in apartments the most.

Well heres the story. I went to the L&M bookstore and bought a book for class that I thought I was going to need. It turned out to be 125 dollars. Then I went to my class, and he said we could used the last edition of the book. So I want to get the book I bought from Amazon for 25 dollars before the 28th so I can take that other book back and get a full refund. I ordered it on the 14th so just as long as it comes before the 28th....

Sounds about right.
In the past I've always gotten my books between like...4-5 days at the earliest, and 7-10 days at the latest. Like he says, depends if it was Amazon or a 3rd party deal on there.
What's your major?

I've used both Amazon and B&N, as well as their 3rd party sellers. I've never had a problem.

We're a 3rd party seller on Amazon, too. You'll get it as fast as the shipping you request ... if you want the free or lowest-cost shipping, obviously you're not going to get it overnite.
