Had my 30+ year old freezer quit cooling (read: all my deer meat and other stuff defrosted and I wound up chunking 40+ pounds of meat), and, while the fan is running I'm guessing the compressor is out. Anyone know of an appliance repair company that would come out and give a free estimate to see if it's even worth trying to repair?

Maybe you should get a freezer that was made after 1975?

Just kidding. I don't have any real information. But that is a REALLY old appliance.

It's like the people who call Apple wondering why their Newton doesn't work right anymore.

Don't harsh on my freezer. When that baby was running, it sounded like a freaking submarine hatch sealing when you closed the door.

Newton? Pish, I still love my Lisa.
