God, don't even go there. We've beat that horse too many times. Bottom line, Pop is a stubborn SOB who will never bring in a guy to address the problem even with proven success stories right in the same state i.e. the program in Dallas.

Check out Danny Fortson's (a once notoriously bad FT shooter) FT % prior to joining Dallas and then after. Until Pop implements a teamwide program and enforces it like Dallas did, nothing will change. Eight years and the situation hasn't improved yet he's got too much pride to admit it and do something to change it.

In fact, we really only need Duncan to buckle down and work with a specialist since he takes the bulk of our FTs yet Pop refuses to impose upon him.

Damnit ducks, only I'm allowed to start threads like this, that point out the very obvious in our FT shooting problems.

I post pointing out we lost yet again because of it, TPark comes on here and asks me how many rings I have, we go back and forth a few times, and the end result is Pop is still too much of a pussy to deal with the problem.

It might hurt Tim's feelings if I try to make him a better player, I can't have that.[/Pop]

I just wonder what the quote will be in the paper from Pop tomorrow...

A. "We just suck at free throws, and there's no hope."
B. "It wasn't the free throws, it was the blown call on the jump ball at the end."
C. "I'm just going to let the guys figure it out on their own, it's obvious it will work out from the last 7 years of me dealing with it that way."
D. "Tim will figure it out, he's smart, and I don't want to hurt his confidence."

Ugh.
