Arrogance is bad but not that bad, I wouldn't grudge anyone success simply because they're arrogant. But he's a two-bit, low-life cheat of a coach; he has no right to be arrogant. Right from their SB victory over the Rams to this season they've been cheating. And if this isn't karma, I don't know what is.

Brady didn't lose that game. When his team needed a TD, he got one. And, for much of the game, it was the Giants D-line and the Pats O-line that were the reasons the Pats weren't scoring. That loss had little to do with Brady. He didn't play particularly well, but his O-line just got over powered the whole game.

Great SuperBowl. Simply classic, smash mouth game with a fantastic ending. Glad to see my favorite player's little brother win a ring and MVP the following year after him. The Pat's got exactly what they deserved and man the arrogance was all over the field from the first play of the game, that stupid reverse that went nowhere, to going for it on fourth down, to all the excessive contact the sore-loser defense made after each big New York play and to see Tom Brady get smacked around like David Carr is fucking hilarious.
And Boston guy, do yourself a favor and tone down that stupid signature. It can't be too great to live in the city that homes two of the biggest choke jobs in the past ten years despite how ever many titles Boston has won (wow, 5). And now the Spurs are the TRUE greatest sports dynasty in all of professional sports as we don't choke when it matters. Smug bastard Boston fans.

I am still here. I am not going anywhere. Props to the Giants. They earned it and play one hell of a game. This sucks but you cant win em all. However, the only fan who has any right to talk shit are Giants fans like Chris Childs. Anyone else who is a fan of a team who hasnt proven a god damn thing really doesnt have any right to talk.
Props to you for not disappearing after your team lost and for giving the winners their due...others on this site could take a lesson on that.
As far as the shit talk goes however, it happens to all of us when our teams lose...its just your turn now. May not be fair, but its reality.

Yeah...that was poor form. At first he thought the game was over but then the refs told him there was one more play and he bailed. The rest of his team stayed there and took their lumps.

Bundchen: 'If the Pats Lose, I'll Run Naked Through Mid-Town Manhattan'
Feb. 1, 2008
By The Sportsman's Daily
Special to CBSSports.com
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (Sportsman's Daily Wire Service) -- Winning isn't everything, particularly if losing means you get to glimpse Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen striding naked down the Great White Way. A trip to the Super Bowl has suddenly presented the Patriots with an unexpected dilemma: a choice between a perfect record and beholding the perfect body, unclad and in motion.
In the aftermath of their 21-12 victory over the San Diego Chargers, Tom Brady's celebrated girlfriend startled onlookers by promising to run naked down Broadway in the unlikely event the Patriots lose to the Arizona-bound N.Y. Giants -- unlikely until the very moment she parted her full lips and made the surprise announcement.
"Never in a million years did I think I'd have a problem motivating a team heading into the Super Bowl," said Patriots coach Bill Belichick. "Gisele opens her big mouth and look at 'em -- half the guys are staring into space, the others are leering like they've just stumbled onto their uncle's private porn stash. And who can blame them -- that's one fine specimen. But this is a completely new wrinkle ... though wrinkle is probably the wrong word, as I've seen Gisele in a thong, and trust me, that butt's tighter than a fine-tuned snare drum."
Most of the players interviewed refuse to let the indelible image of Gisele Bundchen gamboling gazelle-like though the streets -- if a gazelle were 5-11 with perfect breasts and generated enough heat to thaw 30 square miles of permafrost -- to become a distraction.
"To be perfectly honest, she's been a distraction the moment we saw pics of her on the beach with T.B. in the offseason," said linebacker Mike Vrabel. "Those legs, that butt, those lips. Thankfully we've got football to release the sexual tension. Bringing an erection onto the field is never a good idea, particularly for a linebacker who relies on lateral pursuit to be effective."
When she learned of the players' reaction to her provocative remark, Bundchen immediately tried walking it back.
"It was a mistake and I'm sorry I said it. I don't know what I could have been thinking -- Midtown Manhattan is a parking lot any time of day or night. It'd take 30 minutes just to make it from the Theater District to 34th Street. And what if I ran into the Naked Cowboy and had to pose for pictures with every out-of-town Tom, Dick and Harry? Tack on another 30 minutes, easily. How 'bout I simply flashed my breasts from a billboard in Times Square and call it a day ... will that work?"
Not for Tedy Bruschi it won't.
"To me, a perfect season is winning the Superbowl AND getting to see Gisele naked. So no matter how you slice it, a perfect season is no longer possible. We win, we have to live with the thought of Gisele's legs wrapped around Tom's neck, rolling around on some beach somewhere. And if we lose, everything we've accomplished is out the window. I wonder if Gisele has a sister*. What's the temperature in Rio this time of year?"
Giants coach Tom Coughlin suspects there's more to Bundchen's announcement than meets the eye and detects a whiff of classic Belichick gamesmanship.
"Belichick is behind this, I can smell it. He wants us going into the game thinking his team is distracted and conflicted. First off, I'm not going to have the girlfriend of an opposing quarterback run naked on our home turf. Second, if Bill wants to play that game, fine. If the Patriots win, our offensive line will run buck naked through the streets of Foxborough. That's over 1,000 pounds of highly repulsive man-meat. Your move, Belichick."
Rich Peltz, a Giants fan from Weehauken, N.J., captured the sentiment shared by football fans around the country who've been waiting and hoping for the insufferably smug Patriots to stumble.
"I haven't been to a Broadway show in over 20 years. But Gisele Bundchen naked, with Tom Brady watching helplessly on the sidelines, now that's one show I'd pay Broadway prices to see."
* Gisele has five sisters, one for each of the Patriots' starting linebacker corps, with two to divide up among the team's secondary: Raquel, Graziela, Gabriela, Rafaela and her fraternal twin Patrícia.

First off, what a game, I can say that is one of the better played NFL games I've ever seen, everyone there played like they wanted it the same, but in the end, only one team can come away with it all.
This leads to another thing: the inevitable fan backlash for both sides. Let me get this clear, if anybody says the Patriots choked, they are fooling themselves and being complete homers. The Pats played great, but the Giants defense tore them up, it was an incredibly balanced game on the offensive side of the ball.
I've seen people claim the Patriots' win percentage means "nothing", and with that I cite it as the most ridiculous claim I've seen of sports in recent memory. Getting to the Superbowl, keeping it close until the very end, going undefeated in the regular season and winning the title of your conference means nothing? That is the equivalent to making the statement that no teams outside of the Giants had a successful year. I guess the Pistons going to the Finals in 05 was worthless too? A team that went 2-14 is the same as losing in the Superbowl? No way, you can't argue this similarity at all.
Granted sports teams are measured in the ability to compete in the grand stage and game, but with that unfortunately comes the side of only one team being able to win out of sports having up to 30 or more teams per league, thus decreasing the odds that the truly "best" team will not win out of a contest.
Anyway, I know it's mostly just ironic victory, the bitter-sweet taste of irony that Pats fans got awoken to, but really, is their season that bad? They have 3 recent Superbowl victories, and according to we Spur fans, rings are all that matters.
If any Cowboys fans here devoutly cheered the Giants ("Patriot hate" or not, Eagles, Redskins and Giants are in foul territory for us), then I question the Cowboy fandom you come from.
All and all, great game, unexpected result, but that happens in sports, I didn't see the Heat beating the Mavs, I didn't expect the Rockies to hit the World Series game, I sure as hell didn't see the Lightning winning the cup and no way did I expect the Giants to beat the undefeated Patriots.
All of this talk I hear about the Pats season not being successful is complete homerism. Did they go full circle? No, but they came damn close and within 2 minutes of having very different opinions and an undefeated season and playoff run; I'm annoyed at "asterisks" being used in sports though (I hate that we have a *99, but whatever). Giants won and Eli proved valuable, but the reason they won was simply because of that defensive game. I am already curious to see how the Giants will do next year. Were they riding momentum ala the Detroit Tigers or Colorado Rockies, or do they really have what it takes to be true regular contenders, like the Patriots?

I sense Mavs fan in Spurs fan clothing.
As far as the rest of your post, I will agree that the what the Patriots accomplished in the regular season was special and unique. To go through an NFL regular season unscathed is a great accomplishment. However the ultimate goal is winning the championship. Or at least it should be. Then again in today's sports world, a lot of fans and players are focused more on individual accomplishments over than team goals. If winning the championship is your goal, and you don't...you failed. You might show improvement over the previous year and could be in place to win the next year which is all nice....but its still a failure. If not winning the championship is your goal...then why play?

If you dont win the championship, then the rest doesnt mean a god damn thing. They had a nice season but at the end of the day, they achieved as much as everyone else not named the New York Giants...they werent crowned champions. And lay off of Cowboys fans rooting for the Giants. I am sure if it was any other team, they would have gone against them. Belichick and this organization were/are fucking classless douche bags. You cant sugercoat that. We ran the score up, talked so much shit, acted very cocky and arrogant, and in the end karma had the last laugh as the Giants handed us our first loss of the season. Patriots have to suffer the consequences for their actions. The Giants d kicked Bradys ass all over the field. This year means nothing for the Patriots. They didnt win the championship so historically this will be known as the unbeaten team who came up short in the biggest game of the year. If Randy Moss bolts, this team is going to be very average next season. Welker will digress due to not having Moss there, etc etc. All in all...the Patriots failed their ultimate mission in the end.

Moss is getting up there, Staying with NE is his best chance still to possibly win a SB. Unless the only thing he is worried about is money. The good thing about you guys is that you have that high draft pick. Use that to either nab McFadden if he happens to be still on the board, or that CB, I forget his name.
