...are you trying to tell us something, here?
it goes without saying that no straight man alive cares this much about the "gay Superbowl" known as the Academy Awards.
sometimes you make it a little too easy to make fun of you, Captain Dorko.

Fuck, how did I miss Captain Dorko the first time I read that.
That maybe the worst insult ever given on this site.

and pussyface has no bigger crutch than the "you must be gay" insult. It's like Michael Bay + explosions, or The Farrelly Brothers + diarrhea humor.

OVERrated?! She's a wonderful actress and is very beautiful! You wanna talk overrated, just say Nicole Kidman!

If you want to be nominated for an Academy Award, just play Queen Elizabeth. Judi Dench even won for Shakespeare in Love, and she was in about 5 minutes of the movie.

I thought the Tonys were the Gay Superbowl? Movie award season is more like the Gayoffs.

There Will Be Blood will win many awards, but I'd like to see No Country for Old Men make a strong showing. It's a pity Viggo has no chance of winning Best Actor, since Day-Lewis is a lock for that award (and rightfully so). Javier Bardem will win Supporting Actor.
I still think Juno is slightly overrated. I enjoyed it, but honestly...Superbad is more worthy of Best Picture than Juno.

Juno is this year's Little Miss Sunshine.

The lack of love for 3:10 To Yuma is shocking. That movie made my all-time top 10.

Solid nominations.
Best Actor is an especially strong category (haven't seen In the Valley of Elah yet, but Tommy Lee Jones is talented enough I'm not surprised by the nomination). I think it's pretty obvious that Daniel Day Lewis will win, but all four of the performances I've seen are deserving.
Reviewing that list, and considering all the films that feel left off, 2007 was actually a pretty damned good year for movies.

Viggo should win just for the fight scene with his cock out. That scene took balls.
