If the Spurs don't win this one I'd say it's pause for concern. No Bynum, no Ariza, no Radman, no Mihm, Kwame Brown starting......what more help can you ask for? :) :)

j/k I think this game is gonna be surprisingly competitive. good luck tomorrow guys!

no Bynum.
no Ariza

but still, this is dangerous team(ref to the how they dismantle the Nuggets). It will be on our local TV ABC5 so I hope the San Antonio Spurs will win this time

MAKE IT HAPPEN, SAN ANTONIO !!!

Some Bowen vs. Kobe reading:

No Slowin' Bowen
By ESPN Research

Los Angeles and San Antonio, which meet Wednesday (9 ET) in San Antonio, have split their two matchups this season. Most would assume that each team must figure out how to stop the other team's superstars. It seems the Spurs have figured out how to slow down Kobe Bryant.

Bryant is only shooting 11.1 percent from behind the arc this season against San Antonio. However, the Lakers must find a way to control Bruce Bowen. That's right Bruce Bowen. Bowen is averaging 5.8 points per game on the season, but 22.5 ppg vs the Lakers.

Bowen vs. Bryant, This Season

Category Bowen Bryant
PPG 22.5 24.0
FG pct 62.5 44.2
3-pt FG pct 84.6 11.1
RPG 3.5 8.0

Another wonderful opportunity for the Spurs to show case their veteran team, loyal fans & beautiful sports arena on national television…With the Lakers having 2 starters & several bench players out (due to injuries)…I expect this game to be competitive…Expect to see Kwame “Manos de Piedra” at his best tonight… :toast

One thing is for sure, the Spurs are gonna come out and play very hard against the Lakers. They always do. They still have the memory of 0.4 seconds in the back of their minds.

They take the Lakers as seriously as any other playoff near-miss, or 1st round out WC team. The Evil Empire broke up, remember?

Anyway, tonight is nationally televised, in January - Spurs ALWAYS look like crap for these. Gonna be close at the end. Spurs will probably win, won't cover. Wouldn't be surprised to see Lakers on top, however.

I dunno everytime I watch SAS play the Lakeshow they always seem to go all out, especially that last game when they were down Duncan and Parker. Go re-watch the 4th quarter of that game when the game was pretty much decided, Barry and co. were still giving 110% effort like it was a playoff game.

Duncan, Parker, Gino, Bowen (esp. against Lakers), & a big. Finley is usually the first option wing off the bench. I didn't say the Spurs didn't play hard; it's what Pop & co. are doing that makes things less than dominating.

If the player on the 10 day contract starts again tonight; it'll be a clue.

What no option on the Lakers winning....geez....oh well I expect a good game and hopefully we come out strong. Spurs have been mortal lately so hopefully we come out on top....

Good luck Silver and Black !

The second option includes a Laker win.

So that will be your excuse if the Spurs lose? Spurs weren't trying to win?
