View Full Version : Where did THESE Spurs come from?

The Spurs, in the second half of last nights game, finally looked like the team im used to watching the past decade.

That was an asbolutely awesome performance by just about everyone on that squad.

Can we please have more of this, and ditch the complacency that has plagued us the past couple of months. I hope this was "the turn around" for this season, and they continue this intensity through to the finals.

I felt inspired all over again to be a spurs fan!

So did I, but it was just one game. They have to try to make this a habit. It was refreshing though.

They played lilke a team possessed in the second half!!! it was incredible to watch our 'real' team emerge. Their play definitely shut up the Laker asshole that was sitting behind me making ignorant remarks throughout the first half. I've never encountered such a rude individual at any sporting event. Think the guy was actually from Laker Land too.

The one bad thing about last night's win is that the Spurs got away with only playing one half and still winning.

In the words of LL Cool J on the classic tune "Mama said knock you out!"

Yep, back to bullshit ball...This team is going no where if they continue this craptastic level of play.

The only person we have on the team that shows any sign of wanting to compete is Duncan...

I guess the laker game second half was just flukey...sad, i was really hoping that was a spark.

This thread scared them off. Good job.

Please beat Dallas or Phoenix... not a regular-season wonder like the Lakers or a horsesh1t team like the Heat.

Both of them were missing their second-best players, too.

The Spurs look old and tired.

But what do you expect when you do nothing to improve the team coming off a fortunate title run?

They brought back 11 veterans and let one of their youngest players walk.

They were awesome. A great win.

Call me a kill-joy, but I can't help but wonder how much more difficult that game would've been for the Spurs had Bynum been in the lineup. The Spurs had no answer for him in the previous meeting.

are the spurs even a lock for a first round victory this year? It's not only Phoenix, Dallas, and SA this year. LA, New Orleans, Portland, and Denver are very big threats.
