I miss the screaming, pissed off coach Popovich. The one who calls the team soft and pathetic, and playing the worst defense he's ever seen in his life.
At post games lately after losses he's smiling and laughing and making jokes....WTF?!?!?!

he's getting senile
Because of the tight race in the West, he's able to tinker, and tinker AND tinker with lineups, offensive and defensive sets, plays, other teams heads, future game film...while never falling THAT far off the pace. He refers to it as "the process". He's really working with small ball, trying to perfect it as much as possible for the matchup advantages or necessities that will come in the playoffs. This is simply a prolonged pre-season - health is what is MOST important in the playoffs, as well as how much benefit is garnered from the process.

Ever notice the Spurs fall in the 1st half, then make come backs and lose close games very often this year? It's almost like Pop is trying to manufacture close games for the team to work on crunch time execution.

I'll bank on SPAM. All this other shit has proven to be nothing but PRE-PLAYOFFS.

It just seems like last year Pop would kick this year Pop's ass if they were to meet.
Last year Pop was not happy at all at this point of the season, and with fewer losses.

I think even Pop would laugh at the ridiculous faith people put in him. He makes mistakes all the time like anyone else.

It was the exact same during last season's first half; he wasn't yelling at anybody, he was too relaxed, he didn't wear a tie most of the time. I couldn't recognize him
Don't worry guys

Maybe he's trying to get the team to call HIM soft. Maybe thats the angle.

I think Pop is getting tired of having to motivate them and wants them to figure out how to do it for themselves. He doesn't even call time outs sometimes when he used to.

I laugh at people that think they can figure pop out, or think they know more.
