I have some extra Toros tickets available for Friday's game against the Utah Flash. Post the number of tickets you would like here and I'll determine who gets them tonight. I'll use some random system to determine the winners if I get more requests than I have tickets. If you end up getting the tickets, they will be left under your name at will call.

I'm heading into Austin on Friday. If you've got two tickets I'd be interested. Are you still going CD? I'd be interested to meet you and pick your brain about the D-League.

im in austin ill go what kinda seatsI don't know where the seats are. If they end up being near me they're near the baseline a few rows up in the bigger grandstand. It's a small venue so there aren't many bad seats at all.

How many would you need?

Alright. Everyone who made a request yesterday will have their tickets waiting for them at will call. There were only a couple hundred tickets left, so I can't tell you where you guys will be sitting. We'll be on the aisle of section 1 in the big grandstand opposite the Toros bench. They're having an American Heart Association awareness thing going on tonight so folks are encouraged to wear red. The only red shirt I own is a Silverados souvenir, so look for that if you dare speak to me.

The Toros play in Hall 5 of the convention center at the corner of 4th Street and Red River. You might get lucky and find free parking if you go really early and eat before the game, but the easiest way to park and get back to I-35 afterwards is to use the convention center garage. The entrance to that is on 5th Street just past Red River going to I-35. I believe the rate is $7 on weekends.

Champions Sports Bar just NW of the convention center in the Courtyard/Residence Inn building is a nice place to hang out before or after the game. The one thing I think most people overlook at the game is the full bar tucked over in the corner in the vicinity of the visitors' bench. If you just need booze and don't want to wait in the food line, that's the place to go.

If you have any questions, let me know. See you there!

If you have a handicapped permit, parking at the convention center garage is free

Looks like you'll be able to watch Ian tonight. He got sent back down.

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Spurs announced today that they have re-assigned rookie Ian Mahinmi to the Austin Toros of the NBA Development League (D-League).

Mahinmi, a 6-11, 230-pound center was recalled by the Spurs on Jan. 28 but did not see any action in his most recent stint with the Silver and Black. For the season he has appeared in six games for the Spurs, averaging 3.5 points in 3.8 minutes per contest. Mahinmi finished with a season-high 12 points and two blocks in 12 minutes of action vs. Milwaukee on Nov. 11.

In 24 games with the Toros, Mahinmi is averaging 18.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.20 blocks in 30.4 minutes. He currently leads the D-League in field goal percentage, shooting .644 (154-239) from the field. He set career-highs with 32 points and 17 rebounds in a 90-79 win at Utah on Dec. 21. Mahinmi tied his points-high with 32 points at Tulsa on Jan. 27.

Mahinmi will be available tonight when the Toros take on the Utah Flash at 7 p.m. at the Austin Convention Center.

Great! That makes sense -- Utah has a sick center tandem with Fesenko and James Lang. It will be a good test for him. I was worried the Toros might get stomped without him. Should be a really good night if everyone shows.

Nice job setting this up ChumpDumper. I'll make a game or two at some point this season . . .

I'm not really surprised of that move. Mahinmi didn't miss a single D-League during his call up by Spurs.
Anyway, I wonder if Spurs calling up Mahinmi like that really help him. I'm curious to see what will be his attitude tonight.
