Shaq sucks now so who cares? lol. And Camby might have or might have not got snubbed but The Nuggets dont deserve 3 All-Stars. I think only Marsh-Melo is the All-Star on the team, not so much Iverson.

Well deserved for Joe Johnson, Butler and Jamison
In the West, Paul should have started, period. I'm happy for Booze and West

I'm glad they moved Bosh over to the center position and didn't force a less deserving center just for the position for the east squad. I wouldn't have had a problem with Ilgauskas being named an all star, but I do like that they did that.
Also, while West has been very good this year, personally, I think Tyson Chandler deserves it more than David West.
Oh, and while he plays for a bad team, I thought Gerald Wallace would get some consideration.

No way there are 3 fucking nuggets there when team record counts. I guess you could swap Camby with West but Hornets have a much better record.
I thought Baron Davis got snubbed.

Manu got snubbed.. he deserved to be there this year. It's not his fault the rest of the outside of the big 3 suck ass!!!!
I think Manu needed a little more edge if he wanted to get more votes. Though if he *made* it wouldn't have been undeserving. I don't think it's a snub though, because Roy deserves it.
It only sucks for Spurs fans, because Manu's having his best season so far. Don't know if he'll contend for anymore all-star selections after this year. But who knows, maybe he'll continue to become a more deadly shooter.
Too bad our team relatively sucks this year due to the injury bug and old dudes.
Meanwhile, Tim is stranded and going solo this year :lol. He had Manu or Tony to accompany him the last three years.

I agree that Camby got the short end of the stick because they did not want 3 Denver players. NO's record obviously helped West. I thought it would be Davis. With Portland's unexpected success, they had to pick Roy.

I'm glad CP got some love, he should have been a starter (dumbass fans). Who the hell picks AI over Nash and CP.
Congrats to Jamison + Butler, glad the Wizs got some props.

I dont know if West deserved it over some of the other guys. Eh Well. People will always be left out.

JJ didn't deserve the spot over Turkoglu, but otherwise the East is solid. Roy vs. Davis was a coin-flip, so I can't complain there. I didn't even think about David West for a forward spot. He's had a hell of a season though, and considering the Hornets lead the west, West vs. Howard was another coin-flip. All around, pretty solid selections overall.

I guess he will show how good he during the playoffs again.
yeah, season accolades are just a distraction...the four days of rest is always better in hindsight...
Anyway, hopefully Timmy has a good time there visiting New Orleans..
and gets 7 assists (I don't know how, because no one outside of Duncan and Oberto made a shot)
yeah, I think that's because they were all off Timmy and Oberto from what I remember of the game. Everyone else he created for didn't deliver that night :lol

Chris Kaman was snubbed.
If you're just going to look at numbers, why not have both Chris Kaman and Corey Maggette on the All-Star West squad?

Why is Camby all hyped up nowadays? He has not done anything special that he did not do when he was in NY. His defense IS good but it looks much better than it actually is because he plays on a run-n-gun team and his teammates' defense suck so bad. Plus his offense is limited.

Yes. After 14 years making it.

Shaq's All-Star run ends at 14
Heat pivot denied chance to break NBA's ASG record
MIAMI (AP) -- Someone told Shaquille O'Neal a few days ago that he wasn't selected for the All-Star Game, an erroneous statement at the time only because the coaches' votes still hadn't been counted.
Those votes are now in. And O'Neal is indeed out.
Ending his record-tying streak of 14 straight All-Star selections, the Miami Heat center was not on the list of Eastern Conference reserves released Thursday for the Feb. 17 game in New Orleans. O'Neal will still be going to the All-Star festivities, but only to host a couple of parties and appear at other events that weekend.
"I think he's still an All-Star," Heat forward Ricky Davis said.
The coaches who select the reserves didn't agree, nor did the fans who voted Orlando's Dwight Howard in as the East's starting center. However, if a spot opens because of injury, it's still possible that NBA commissioner David Stern could add O'Neal to the roster -- which would extend the streak after all.
For his part, O'Neal said he thought Howard's starting nod was well-deserved and that he wouldn't lobby the coaches for support on their ballots. And even if he was voted onto the team, O'Neal -- who's averaging a career-low 14.2 points, still the second-best in the East among true centers behind Howard -- may not have been able to play anyway because of a hip injury that currently has him out of the Heat lineup.
O'Neal, who wasn't available Thursday, said last week that he wouldn't be "extra sad" if he didn't earn a spot on this year's team. Dwyane Wade will be Miami's only All-Star.
"Shaq sort of is the All-Star game, sort of what the All-Star game is all about," said Orlando coach Stan Van Gundy, O'Neal's former coach in Miami. "It's celebrity and the people the fans want to see and everything else. You know, we had Magic Johnson in the All-Star game when he wasn't even playing, so it'd be hard for anybody to argue if Shaq were in there."
Toronto's Chris Bosh, Washington's Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison, Boston's Paul Pierce, Detroit's Chauncey Billups and Richard Hamilton, and Atlanta's Joe Johnson were the East reserve selections.
They'll join Wade, Howard, New Jersey's Jason Kidd, Cleveland's LeBron James and Boston's Kevin Garnett, the East starters.
Van Gundy -- who wouldn't reveal if he voted for O'Neal -- added that an All-Star nod is still a major deal for players, and an especially tough decision for coaches since there's only 12 players tabbed for each roster.
"This isn't baseball where there's a lot of spots," Van Gundy said. "There's only 12 spots for 15 teams and a lot of deserving people are going to get left off."
O'Neal, Jerry West and Karl Malone are the only players selected to 14 straight All-Star games.

Jose Calderon is one of the least known, most underrated players in the league in a LONG time.
NO one is talking about this kid, and he keeps putting up massive numbers and making his team better. He is arguably a better guard than TJ Ford has ever been at any time.
In January, Calderon had more games at or above 10 assists than below. He doesn't turn the ball over for a PG. He can light you up if you give him room. He's avg. over 52% from the field this year, and almost 92% at the line. He can step out and hit the trey. He's a very solid defensive player as well.
This kid needs serious props, as he will probably finish the year close to double-digit avg. in assists.

Just realized Baron didn't get chosen. That one is a very, very tough omission.

Then make a case for taking off 4 players to put these 4 on the team? If these 4 deserved it then what 4 are you taking off?
