DALLAS, TX (AP) - FEB. 4, 2008 - SpursTalk poster monosylab1k was found dead in his home in the early morning hours of Monday, February 4th. Local authorities found his body face-first in his toilet, surrounded by what the on-site forensics team determined to be thrown-up alcohol and pizza consumed during and after the Super Bowl played yesterday. His computer was logged into SpursTalk.com with the open window being a response to a thread entitled "I need an expert opinion. . ." that he was unable to submit. The police coroner determined that at the time of death, his BAC was 2.76. The unsubmitted post read "Eli Manning... Eli FUCKING Manning?"

No way this is worse than the Mavs choke job. On no level can you even compare the 2. First, the Mavs lost a SERIES. The Pats lost a GAME. Anything can happen in one game.

2nd, the Pats lost the SUPER BOWL to the champion NY Giants who aren't going to go on and lose in the next round.

No, I don't even consider the Pats losing a choke job in the least. The Giants played amazing defense and peaked at the end of the season. The Warriors played a gimmick offense and had no business beating the Mavs. I don't think you can say the same about the Giants at all.

The Mavs would have gone on to lose to the Spurs in the WCF anyway. . .

I thought he meant against the HEAT?
if it was against the Warriors then the Mavs are still the worse. It would've been losing to Jacksonville.

The Warriors knew how to play Dirk and the fact that Dirk was no post player and had no interior presences helped the Warriors offense even more so. Dirk could be played against with big SF's, which the Warriors were packed with, so D'ing up Dirk was no problem for the Mavs. Don Nelson helped a tad as well.

The Warriors beating Dallas was no fluke.

When I saw Baron Davis throwing a half court 3pointer to tie the game at half time, Davis again burying a 3 pointer falling out of bounds with Dirk all over him, and Jackson making 7 3-pointers like lay-ups, you know you just cant win that series. thats the single most entertaining and fluke series victory ever.

I missed this. What's up with Shockey being in a suite and not on the sidelines?

Speaks volumes about the guy, IMO.

Good point about Shockey. Maybe his teammates didn't want him on the sidelines?

I'm only beginning to drink. I was too nervous to drink during the game, which makes no sense, but I didn't drink until after the game. I still have my faculties but that won't last for long.

I won't lie, this is shaping up to be the worst night of my sports-watching life.

But I can still pop in 3 different America's Game DVD's. Can't say the same for the Mavs.

You better turn in your Man Law membership card right now for not drinking during the Super Bowl, and one your team was playing in no less. Last year I was shitfaced by kickoff and did a kegstand equal to the number of seconds of the total score of both teams after the game (46 seconds, about 46 seconds shorter than the longest kegstand I've done).

Weak.

Of course, not that I had any doubt the Colts would lose that game. I actually didn't watch much of that Super Bowl after the second half. I kept going in the house and saying "FUCK YEAH MOVE THE CHAINS" on ever 2 yard carry by Addai or Rhodes and pretty much got told by the whole party to stfu and go watch on the small TV outside.

Good times.
