When I was there last year I played $200NL mostly, and they were the toughest games I've played in anywhere in the world - lots of rounders, remarkably tight. Then again, I also found the odd table of tourists. Pick your tables, and if you don't like one you're at put yourself on the transfer list. I have a winning record everywhere but Vegas because I played too loose and drank too much... :lol

Do you have a favourite poker room? There's a good midday $60 tournament at MGM Grand, and overall the poker room is okay. I also like the Mirage, although it has a high rake, and either the Venetian or Caesars. Bellagio is very busy and very packed in. Haven't been to the Wynn but I hear it's good. Want to play old people, go to Mandalay Bay! :lol

I have been to Vegas many times during that time as my birthday is Feb 16th.
The problem is all the Valentine weddings and such on the 14th and this year it will spill over until the 15th and 16th because those days are Fri & Sat.

Tip: if you have a particular restaurant or show that you want to see, book it NOW or it will probably be booked up. Same goes for rent cars and anything else popular. Valentines weekend is a killer.

I year i had a free round of golf at Primm on Feb 15th a few years ago but could not get a rent car in the whole damn town and i refused to pay $150 for a cab ride round trip or $200 for a limo.

So we are going in March this year instead!

Yeah, I have gone to Vegas a lot around Valentine's Day. I never rent cars in Vegas, so I'm not worried about that part. And we don't do shows.
