They'd be better off with marching bands, because that at least is part of the color and pageantry of football. As a former band geek, I think that for college bowl games the band should perform at half time. They are a big part of cheering on the team during all the games and I just think it's wrong to cut them out just for that no-talent-having-so&so, dammit. :cuss :flipoff

SW, I said the same thing. The bands were the best part of the Cotton Bowl game....and the students and alumni all enjoy singing the alma mater and all the songs too...so every gets involved..

As an aside, if I hear Old Rocky Top one more time, I am going to go postal.

You don't even need to use voice levelers a lot of the time because as long as you sit there and sing it enough, you'll get a decent take sooner or later. It's also just easier to sing when it's the only thing your focused on.

I was thinking the same about how this isnt her target audience, why would they have her do such a show. Also, as far as her not being able to sing, she is what sells to teeny-boppers these days, not musical talent. This makes me sad because supremely great local bands such as Mingo Fishtrap will never make it big because their "sound" and musical talent is not "in."
