Hi all,
My first post on this forum. Although I'm not a Spurs fan, I'm not a troll either. Just thought it'd be interesting to lurk and check out this forum from time to time. I think the Spurs are a great franchise. We have a great rivalry with the Spurs and I respect it. Lastly, I feel the Spurs are still in the mix and thought I'd share what I just saw today...
Kobe went on NBA TV, talked about the Gasol trade.
Ahmad asked Kobe a Spurs related question:
"The Western Conference is as tight as it has been in years, do you feel the West is wide open this year? Anybody can take the championship this year?"
Kobe replied, "It sure seems that way, but WE CANNOT disrespect the champions. They aren't going no where. They are the champions until someone beats them, their defense is such that they are going to put enough pressure on teams in the playoffs to win the series. We still have a lot of catching up to do."
