KG said no becuase he didn't get to play with Amare in one trade offer. (according to an interview with KG in Slam)

The other Marion asked for an extension at $20M per.

Amare for KG would be a steal, I was against it because it would make the Suns tougher to beat, I am glad it never went through.
KG would solve quite a few of their interior offensive problems, and he can finish just as well as Amare could, plus he could create for others.
If that trade went through, the only thing stopping the Suns from a championship would be 3firstnames.

If KG had been traded for Amare, right now the Suns would be 42-6 with a +12 point differential, and there would be weeping and gnashing of teeth throughout the West.

Instead, their days as a legitimate title contender are now officially over.
