too many people in his role...but imho he could be more than worth a choice in SA...(long three anyone???)

Yeah...he'd be worth a shot. He can rebound and gets lots of steals, hustles well. His offensive game is weak though and since that seems to be the Spurs biggest concern this season they probably won't bring him in. He's a nice player that busts his butt in practice to get better.
Damon Stoudamire is a big fan of his BTW.

This suggests the Spurs haven't been looking to shed salary in the Bulls' direction, at least.

Surely some team would have made a trade offer?

I don't know...I don't think the Bulls want to add any salary and he has a small contract. Usually teams don't want to trade their cheap players.
This guy is a decent player and at 6'9 218lb he definitely fits the bill of the long SF that we were seeking not too long ago.
He's a decent rebounder for the SF position as well. His problems are on the offensive end of the ball...but he did have a decent 3 shot up until he went to the Bulls.

Is he old? we could take a look
Too slow for 3, too weak for 4, and he is given up by Portland and Chicago and maybe one more team.
Take a look how? Release one of rosters and pay the double on luxury tax so we can take a look?
