The Spurs have had past trade dealings with the Knicks (Nazr Mohammed/Jackie Butler). Based upon my finding this new information, I'm wondering if the time is right for the Spurs to look into picking one of the "young plums" off his roster?

Of course, it could very well be Isiah doing his usual "spin control."

Isiah Says Youth Hurting Knicks
February 7, 2008 - 5:38 am
New York Post -

Isiah Thomas believes that the New York Knicks are too young, and it is hurting the team.

According to the New York Post, before last night's 103-100 loss to the Pacers Thomas said that being a young team is the reason why Knick fans are not seeing wins right now.

"We're really young," Thomas said. "I don't think we can get any younger."

According to The Post, the two youngest players in New York's original starting five - are in their seventh seasons. The team's average age is 25.6 years.

No one other than David Lee that I'd want.

IT's latest excuse is youth?

How many chances will Isiah have in this league to be awful?

Only David Lee, said above, has any interest to me.

You wouldn't take Balkman?

Balkman or David Lee would be nice pickups but I think we've dipped into Isiah's well a few too many times for him to trade any of those two for us.

You wouldn't take Balkman?

Yeah.

But the more pressing need is for a shooting winman and a big center that can guard Shaq.

No to Jerome James too.

Elson and Bonner for Lee. . . Hmm, I'd do it.

I doubt Isiah wants to deal with Pop after Larry Brown's incident. Lot of angry words expressed between these 2 including a heated exchange in a Spurs-Knicks match. Larry Brown is thus screwing our chance.

David Lee doesn't even make a million dollars this year. I don't think we have anything at that price that even Isiah would be dumb enough to take.

If the Spurs want to get out of the Bonner contract they could offer him for Freddy Jones. That would also get them below the Luxury threshold.

Isiah rapes us every time. I'd just as soon not deal with him anymore. I don't want his waiver guys, I don't want his RFAs.

I hope you guys get how ironic it is that the player ya'll want is David Lee...since he was drafted with a Spurs draft pick.
