I'm pretty sure somewhere between driving, shooting, stealing, rebound, dishing, hustling, and being a general badass, he finds time to sneak over to the scorer's table and pencil a few in.

We owe Finley a big thank you tonight. No 3 no OT.
Good to see Ginobli ice those ft's late in the game.
Horry, welcome back big shot.
Duncan worked harder in the 2nd half as well.
Good game by Oberto. Solid.

true. 6 turnovers, and 6-16 from the field, 1-6 from three, but he delivered great today. 9 assists too, just one shy of his career-high. :toast

The Spurs should be taken to task by Pop for letting the Knicks make it a game but good job of keeping their poise and clamping down at the end. Need to cut down on the damn turnovers.

In truth, I feel bad for the good people of Noo Yawk and Knicks fans. NY is one of the few cities where basketball matters, and the Knicks have some of most passionate and knowledgeable fans around. To see a franchise treat its fans like they've been treated is a tragedy.
Good game by the Knicks players, but in the end, the champs prevailed.

If the Knicks had a different coach, they would be a damn good team.
I love Balkman and Lee.
Crawford is a clutch tough shooting mofo.
The problem if I was a Knicks fan, that I would have.
Is in OT, they seem to give up after going down 7.

Celtics without KG=average yet competitive team. As much as I would love for KG to play, sit his ass out till he his truly good to go. This team can manage with Pierce and Allen and a very underrated supporting cast. This stretch has shown Boston is more than the big 3. Either way KG or no KG they will play the Spurs tough at home.

We have good bench players but they cant replace the rebounding, versatility, and scoring that KG brings. Yes I say this is Pierces team but the Celtics will do nothing in the playoffs if our big 3 arent healthy. We arent losing every game or playing with no heart due to him being out regardless of where we go. That makes me happy to see them have that attitude. Hell the Celtics havent been blown out once this season. Every game they lost was competitive.

As did the Spurs. That is one team I literally cant hate. I know they had the #1 pick and got Duncan while we got Billups (who sucked at the time) and that piece of shit Ron Mercer but that is what the lottery is about... probability but unpredictable. They are too god damn classy especially Pop. I wanted Duncan sooo bad. I loved watching him in college and I knew especially after his first year, he was going to turn that franchise around. I would walk around downtown Boston wearing all Giants gear (and risk getting my ass beat) if it meant Duncan being a Celt. :)

That's why I want a Spurs/Celtics final. The interest would be huge, one of the most revered franchices against the new dynasty. And with KG it would be at the least an extremely hard fought affair.
I've seen him play live a few times and I don't really care for his bravado, but the man is passionate.
I wonder how he would be if you told him he only needed to win 4 games to be a world Champion. He would work himself into such a frenzy, and it seems his teamates in Boston respond well to that.

02-08-2008, 10:55 PM
Bottom line for me is Id rather have us play shitty in the first half than in the second half (or overtime). Tim and Manu are playing too many minutes and I put that down to crap play by Bonner and Elson. Everyone else is doing fine.

KG is almost a carbon copy of TD, defensively and offensively. I don't mind Boston winning a ring if we can't make it in the 2008 finals. Let's keep on cheering for our teams, who knows we'll meet in June.

Not true. KG and Duncan are both fantastic power forwards, but they are the inverse of each other.
KG is versatile, but he likes to play outside in.
TD is dominant and will mix it up on the block.
That is why I would always take TD over KG.
I don't care if my big man can run the point. I want him down on the block punishing the other teams bigs.

Duncan>>>>>>>KG. I love KG but he isnt the type of player to take the Tim Duncan role. KG isnt that type of player. The main ultimate leader of our big 3 is Paul Pierce.
Yuixafun
02-08-2008, 11:22 PM
Yup. I can't imagine a team with Tim Duncan healthy ever missing the playoffs. KG only been out of the first round once, not to mention failing to make it his last 2 years in Minni.
Only problem with Pierce is he can sometimes get sucked into that mano y mano mode. I'm glad he's having fun playing basketball again though. He was in dark place for a couple years.
