Suns shoot 32-32 from FT, which is 1 off the record. But they only shoot 39% from FG.

39% against the sonics D....only watched the last 3 minutes, where suns missing opens shots or did it appears suns missed the Matrix?

One of those nights luckily Durant had a poor shooting night.

Well since Matrix is not a playmaker, nor someone who can create his own shot, I don't think Matrix's absence will make a huge difference on offense.

I only saw the last few minutes of the game, though, so I can't say whether the Sonics played great D or if the Suns missed a lot of open shots.

way to go sonics ur playing one of the lesser defensive teams in the league and you make it to where they dont have to play defense on a crucial possession late in the game and you hand them points. id expect a bonehead play from earl watson, wilcox or a rookie but Wally, come on as Marc Jackson would say "Your better than that"

Tonight was such a crazy night. So many games decided in the last few seconds.

I guess they're trying to pad their FT% before Shaq gets here. ;)

(BTW, it's 1 off the Suns record--the league record is 39.)

PHOENIX (ESPN.com news services) -- Wally Szczerbiak took the ball out of bounds, found no one open, and called timeout.

Oops. His team had no timeouts left.

That mistake with 15.1 seconds to play allowed the Phoenix Suns to escape with a 103-99 victory over the Seattle SuperSonics on Friday night.

"Now I know how Chris Webber felt in the NCAA Tournament," Szczerbiak said, recalling that long-ago error that helped cost Michigan the national title.

lol what a jackass. Oh well the Suns look mediocre so far without Marion so there losses will come slowly but surely. They got a tough B2B coming up with Golden State and Dallas this coming Wed. and Thurs.

Suns missed a tone of open/semi-open shots. It was their worst shooting game of the year, I'd think. Amare and the FTs saved them, not to mention Hill knocking down that J that appeared to refuse to go in before finally falling and Wally going Webber to secure the Phoenix win.

The Suns looked fine against the Hornets. The shooting was horrible, especially the 3pt shooting.

I think they'll play .500 ball through Feb and part of March. It's not about the regular season anymore; just getting Shaq ready for the PO's

With Shaq in a suit on the bench eating a double cheese or what? I dont think so...sorry Suns fans....

It's been reported that Shaq is actually sitting at 321 pounds, down from the beginning of the season when he was listed at 325. His body fat percentage is at 11%. I'd say Shaq's issues don't stem from being fat. At least not right now. He's hampered, but is taking things seriously to get back on the court.

We'll have to see. I'm still unsure of how things will work out. It's a feeling unfamiliar to me as with every D'Antoni team I've been farely certain of how it would end: Bad.

If Shaq's issues can be remedied with some rest and rehab, then I see no reason why he, being his healthiest weight in years, can't make a significant impact for the Suns.
