Another good road win for the aggies. Played awesome defense in the second half, even though they let up in the last 2.5 minutes. They're finally forcing the low post game on offense.

Rick Barnes is logging DJ Augustine way too many minutes and now the kid is fatigued and starting to play badly. Most of his shots today were either short iron because of the fatigue or overshot. That team is far too one dimensional and reliant on Augustine and Abrahms lighting it up to be a true contender. Pretty interesting team to watch, but until Chapman and Gary Johnson mature on the frontcourt they'll pretty much get destroyed by teams with good big men. In contrast ISU has a decent frontcourt but their backcourt can't shoot for shit. The younger Haluska kid is no Adam.

This corso knows what he's talkin about. The amount of minutes he is played is unbelievable.

I think Rick Barnes' plan to keep DJ from going to the NBA is to play him 39+ minutes, so he'll fade and make himself look like a bust on national tv come conference tournament and march madness time. It's what kept him from declaring after his freshman year.

Maybe Barnes is

It was tongue in cheek but if you are even a casual fan you've not escaped the fact that barnes plays him 39 minutes a game, and the reason we floundered at the end of the season last year was a gassed Augustin.

His season progress is like mirror image of last year's, except he has more points scored bc he's shouldering the load missed by Durant. Did you see Texas in big twelve tournament and in the ncaa tournament? Augustin was finished. And he will be finished again come March.

I agree Barnes plays him too much and that is on Barnes for not recruiting a decent back up PG or even a combo guard who cen spell Augustin at the point. Texas is paper thin depth wise,if Augustin was to go down they would not win another game.
