I just got a new car and want to take the amp out of my old car and leave the head unit in the old one.

How do you connect RCA's to a factory radio if there is no inputs for it? I heard you could hook it up to a speaker or something but does anyone know?

i am pretty sure you can buy a kit for it, and there is an adapter as part of the kit you splice into the speaker lines to make an RCA output. it's a pain.

nice thanks!

another question,

I know it's pretty simple to hook up a sub to an amp, but is it that hard to hook up a pair of 6x9's?

I know I should probably just take it to the audio shop, but I'm trying to figure out if I can just do it myself

It's so simple that if you can't do it you probably shouldn't be driving a car anyway.

output black/- to input black/-
output red/+ to input red/+

repeat on second speaker.

The hardest part is mounting the speakers, not wiring them.

Alright one more question.

I have a 1000watt mono channel amp, and only want to hook up a sub that's max is 600 watts. Is there any way I can send power to my rear speakers with the same amp? is that what a crossover is?

mono amp is a single channel amp. You will need a 2(or more) channel amp to power more speakers. So no you can't send power to subs AND a rear speakers with a mono amp.
And no a crossover is not for that. They are used for filtering certain sounds to certain speakers. Ex. bass to subs only, highs to tweeters only, etc..
