Incredible series. If you've not seen it, i highly recommend it. Anyone else a fan?

I'm a huge fan. I'm confused as to what this prime time switch is about. Does this mean the show is done on Showtime or are they simply sindicating it.

i think it had more to do with the writer's strike than anything. they probably bought the show because they had 2 seasons worth of stuff and could plug it in.

Was it rated on Showtime and if so is it going to be watered down on regular tv? I have been wanting to watch this show.

I'm to understand what we'll see on cable isn't new episodes either its basically the first season cut down to fit in an hour and edited for content and language. So I'm unclear if they'll go forward and make new episodes with network tv in mind of they'll do what they've been doing and put it up on Showtime and have the network rerun it half a year to a year later for the non showtime crowd?????

If Showtime is done with this show I'm hugely disappointed.

i don't know how much they really have to edit for outside of nudity and language. they show a substantial amount of borderline stuff on CSI already. good thing i have the dvds though.

I think Dexter was about 50 minutes long so they need to lop off another 10 minutes I guess.

They could easily wipe out some of the flash backs and not miss a beat on the story except for the part where his dad found him in the container.

Steep drop off in quality in season 2.Definate drop off but I don't know about steep. My DVR recordings were between 56-59 minutes at least 1-2 in the intro and recap alone.

Dexter is an excellent show but I would skip the edited versions. They'll probably ruin his kill scenes.
