Were you watching the same game? George had the hard assignment of guarding Nash. Eddie Jones didn't do that. All because Terry can't guard anyone. I thought the Mavs played very well last night, all things considered. I have no doubt they would have beaten Phoenix if they had everyone at their disposal. Avery did a great job of rallying the guys together. They could only do so much with what they had.

I'm one that thinks the team doesn't implode after this fiasco. It was Cuban, not Donnie nor Avery, that dealt with Rod Thorn and the Nets. He's the one to blame if this all goes south. With that, the players shouldn't feel as badly as if it were Avery that told them they weren't good enough. Most of the players can't stand Cuban to begin with and this is just another example of why.

I believe there are other pieces that need to be added/moved just to make the team better overall (the aforementioned Mike Miller, Cassell, Maggette, etc. options), but not the lopsided mess going on with Kidd. Kidd would be great, don't get me wrong, but not at the expense of the foreseeable future.
