I really can't think of a championship team in NBA history that aren't about 10x better than Miami.

If I had to pick a top 5:

1. Isiah Thomas going nuts on the Lakers in the third quarter of game 6 of the 88 Finals, after spraining his ankle.

2. Robert Horry's last quarter and a half in game 5 vs Detroit. Rob was the second coming of Bird in that last 17:01 of a game that took a year off my life.

3. Michael Jordan dropping 63 on the Celtics in Boston Garden in game 2 of the 86 ECSF.

4. Stephen Jackson and Steve Kerr getting hot and leading the Spurs on a 23-0 run in the fourth to come back from 13 down to win game 6 of the 03 WCF in Dallas.

5. Tim Duncan dropping 21/20/10/8, including leading a 19-0 run in the fourth to win the championship in game 6 of the 03 Finals.

1. Magic Johnson and Jamaal Wilkes in Game 6 of the 1980 NBA finals. Great performance by those guys when Kareem was out. The Best one/two punch performance that I've ever seen.

2. The Lakers beating the Boston Celtics for the first time in the Finals in 1984

3. Kobe's 81 point game

4. The 2001 Lakers most dominating playoff run in the history of the NBA. Never has there been a team so dominating.

5. Isiah Thomas's performance in game 7 of the NBA finals against the Lakers on a severly sprained ankle. Hell of a warrior and one of the greatest PG's to play the game.

I was there for that game and I can tell you first hand, I didn't have a fuckin' clue as to what Duncan's stats were.

I remember coming home later on that night (morning) and watching the recap, then saw Duncan's line and couldn't believe it.

That might have been the quietest, yet most effective game I've ever seen Duncan play.

That being said, the most memorable performace for me was the Memorial Day Miracle. I remember how the smoke sat for the entire first half. Then as the smoke cleared in the second, the Spurs made their run. That entire game was eiree. You knew the Spurs were going to come back, but would be soon enough? And then, what I consider one of the greatest shots of all-time,....Unbelievable...I'll never forget that game.

Yeah, I really thought we would win it that season; we had it all: the O, the D, the center, the rebounder, the assist-man, the outside shooting, the homecourt.

The Rockets were just crazy during the 95 playoffs, I don't know what went trough their heads; they were sick.

4. Tim Duncan near quadruple double in game 6 of 2003 Finals
5. Barkley leading the Suns back vs. Rockets in '94... from a 33 point deficit
6. Barkley scoring 54 against Warriors in '94 playoffs after Webber and Spree made that Nike commercial making fun of him

They were down 26 in 3rd quarter and Antoine Walker was trying to fire up the team. Beautiful win it was only to lose the next 3.

Duncans 37 point and 13 rebound performance in game 6 against the Lakers was pretty epic. He went right at Shaq as they set the NBA record for biggest margin of victory for an elimination game to a defending champion.

One of the first great performances I ever remember seeing.

Tom Chambers goes for 60 points vs. the SuperSonics in 1990.

I looked up the boxscore: 22 of 32 shooting from the field, 16-18 from the line.

Chambers was such an athlete with the Suns. I'll tell you, he was really something. He could shoot, he could go off the dribble. He loved to throw it down on people in traffic to boot.

He was Dirk, minus the range, but a bit more aggressive in the lane. He was the perfect comboforward.
