Jaber Rouzbahani
8 foot wingspan.
7'5" from Iran.
Could dunk without jumping.
Mavs gave him a look in 2004.
Can't find anything else about him since.

Came over to Richmond CA to work out with personal trainer.
MavsFan, anyone know what happened?

Tony Parker coached him in 2005. Is that the Tony Parker?

He has played in Iran since 2005.
He is also a member of Iran NT and played some garbage time during the Asia championship last summer.

Yes, it is.
It's a Basketball Without Borders event. During these events NBA players practice/trained young local players. Bonner was in Brazil last summer for the same kind of events.

Don't know what he's up to these days. He's only 22 though but I think he's still illegible for a draft because of the trade embargo the US government has with Iran. btw is he actually 7,5" w/ shoes on or barefoot? I think it's more likely w/o which is kinda freaky because that means he's 'only' 7,4" barefoot and yet he can touch the rim standing flatfooted whereas Yao who might be an inch taller has to stand on his tippy toes to do the same? Honestly he looks like he has go-go gadget arms! He's the first person I have ever heard who can dunk without jumping whatsoever.

Good thing too, because if he had to jump to dunk he wouldn't be dunking.

You trying to say he can't jump right?

Dunking w/o jumping at 7,5" is pretty impressive because technically he's no more than 75% of the height of rim standing flatfooted, and Yao the same height and yet can't dunk without jumping. Most people can't reach more than 133% their own height standing flatfooted like this guy (or equivalent to somebody 6 foot flat touching 8 feet standing flatfooted) . Anyways it would be nice seeing this guy in a slam dunk contest though . I bet nobody else could replicate his 'trick'!

If he's truly a poor man's Shawn Bradley I think we just figured out why we haven't heard anything about him. Case closed.

I bet the Spurs wish they had Shawn Bradley in his prime in the middle this season.
