But this fucking idiot should be put up against a wall, shot, and then drawn and quartered for even thinking up this list (http://www.hecklerspray.com/top-10-movies-in-need-of-a-hollywood-remake/200812465.php)

Talk about ruining movies. Remaking Star Wars? Get the fuck out of here.

People are stupid.

A former friend of mine used to go on and on about how someone should remake Taxi Driver.

They should remake Valley Girl and have Paris Hilton star in it.

It's just stupid. And most of those films I hated the first time around so it's doubtful I'd see the remake.

I hope they remake It's a Wonderful Life, starring Adam Sandler.

This may be blasphemy, but I actually would like to see a remake of The Grapes of Wrath.

The Henry Fonda film was great for its time, but because of when it was made, I didn't feel that it captured enough of the anger and despair that was in the book.

I would require, though, that it was done as an independent film with quality actors, not as a big "Hollywood" movie starring George Clooney or some shit.

Everyone here will probably hate this idea, but I'd really like to see a remake of Blade Runner that's more faithful to the book.

I know this will be considered blasphemy to most people, but I'd really like to see a remake of Blade Runner that's more faithful to the book.

You should be hung and have a tree branch shoved up your ass for saying such a thing!!!!!

sorry but I'm of the opinion that Blade Runner wasn't that great. It was okay but a more faithful adaptation would be far superior IMO.

Wasn't Scott going to release a new Director's Cut of the movie.

I remember reading somewhere that he wasn't allowed to make the movie as he wanted to. But, I still think it's a fantastic movie.

they are making a Terminator 4

http://imdb.com/title/tt0438488/

I wonder if even Christian Bale can save it.

I didn't read the book, but I didn't think Blade Runner was all that great either.

Supposedly, Josh Brolin is the model for the new Terminators.
I'm not sure how I feel about that.

They should remake Cloverfield with a less shitty story.

Hollywood has stolen and ruined enough Japanese movies as it is.
If they tried to redo Battle Royale, it would be a fail of monumental proportions.

Didn't that uber-ultimate $80 box set just come out a few months ago?

Well I guess technically it would be 4 even though 1 and 2 were the same movie.

Cameron gives his AVATAR star to McG's Terminator flick?
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I really like Jonathan Mostow as a filmmaker, but I hated TERMINATOR 3 with a passion. That movie felt so far removed from James Cameron's films... it felt so hollow and cheesy and flat... I saw it in the theater when it first came out and tried to give it another shot on cable, but I just can't bring myself to watch it again.

That said, as much as a McG TERMINATOR movie doesn't sound appealing to me, I'm loving the direction he's going with the cast. Christian Bale as John Conner in a trilogy of Future War Terminator movies really gets my geek juices flowing. Not only does that guarantee a level of quality, it also gives hope that the script was strong enough to attract Bale (considering he could probably take the paycheck on any number of other projects if he wanted to).

Now it looks like James Cameron has talked to McG and suggested Sam Worthington, star of Cameron's own AVATAR, as one of the co-leads. And McG, smartly, took his advice. It looks like Worthington will join the film as a character named Marcus.

All that plus McG saying he's looking for a James Brolin type to play the skin-on Terminator gives me a lot of hope for this project. Who knows if he'll actually get Brolin, but I like that he's going the exact opposite of that horrible Sarah Conner TV show... no 'roided out male model terminators, please...

James Brolin, not Josh Brolin.

Didn't they just remake "Invasion of the body snatchers" last year?
Nicole Kidman, Daniel Craig in "Invasion".

And yeah, Evil Dead 4 should have been made 10 years ago but Bruce Campbell is too old to do it now.

Plus, his Old Spice commericals are better than Evil Dead.

Ghostbusters can't and should NEVER be remade.

The third ghostbusters should be good.

A remake of To Kill a Mocking Bird would definitely be great.

They released the definitive edition of Blade Runner a month or so ago. Essentially it is the real Director's Cut, because the original "Director's Cut" wasn't really how Scott wanted it.
