Yeah, so the Suns and Lakers made huge acquisitions.

Shaq is hobbled and old.

Kobe has a torn ligament in his finger.

Gasol's back is always barking.

Bynum's still out.

Injuries can level the playing field for us.

How brilliant is Popovich to shut Parker down?

Not only does it rest him for the playoffs, it gives our questionable PG backups invaluable playing time to get in the flow of things.

Oh, and lest we forget Pop insisting the Big 3 limit their offseason basketball.

There.

I can do "hope."

Agreed on Kobe.

There was a orthopedist on with Colin Cowherd this morning and he said if he doesn't get it surgically repaired and gets that finger hit or jammed again, that he will have made SERIOUS damage to the finger and could risk serious future problems with said hand.

Besides injuries, nothing will stop Manu from defending his gold medal in Beijing

I don't know if we're better anymore.

We're not on paper, but that's why we play the games.

Anyway... I think that if the other teams are hurting, we can improve our chances.

Nah, tell me. How is the Spurs' Big 3 that inferior? Every list I've seen of the top Big 3's in the NBA has the Spurs in the top 5.

Please look at my initial posts in that thread. I break it down. It starts with our vulnerability at the starting PF/C spot.

Holt's Cat

So what? The Spurs strength lies in the backcourt and at the 4, with the best low post player in the game. Are you telling me Duncan is weak?

Ghost Writer

No.

I am telling you that we don't match up 5-for-5.

Hope the other teams get hurt.

Holt's Cat

What matchups? The ones in which somehow the Spurs end up at a disadvantage at every position outside of the 4 because you say so? Get real. You hate Parker and Ginobili irrationally, to say the least.

They won a title last year with that rotation.

I understand that the americans have no idea what is it like to reopresent a country on the olympics.
Americans are spoiled at that matter.
It's a real HONOR not just empty "I'm honored" words.

I really could care less if its an honor or what.

Hes proven taking the summer off is beneficial and his country aint paying 8 mill a year.

Sit out. Stay healthy for next season.

I would appreciate if you would retract your statement and exclude TEXANS.

We are very proud group of people. Wish we could find a way to dissolve from the U.S. The rest of America doesn't like us anyways. They think our accents are goofy and we ride horses around everywhere.

Texas would dominate the Olympics. :p:

You know very well there's no way he's sitting out Beijing. If I were in his situation I would do the same thing. We'll just have to hope he doesn't injure himself in the process.

Hey, now...I'm from Chicago my entire life but for 2 years in SA. I loved it there, and I didn't think the accents were goofy when I moved down there...:lol Apparently I picked up a slight one, myself.

See last response.

In addition, the Spurs would be even older if they dealt for Kidd.

Just older, that's about it. Then you have to count on the front office to be able to lure a max worthy free agent to San Antonio in 2009, something you clearly claim is an impossibility.

It's time for you to go, old man.

Kidd had more triple-doubles in a row this season than Parker has had in his lifetime.

Check yourself.

It certainly doesn't include Kidd. Why are we making moves today to address 5 years from now?

If Manu continues to bomb from the outside from his Cleveland game on, that can keep him healthy for a long, long time. :lol

I agree, it's just more practical to respect your profession and livelihood, and your employers wishes/recommendations.

That's why I was glad Pop and Co. talked the two argies out of playing for the summer..

The Olympics though, you can argue either way if your country's in a chance to win it.

I wish Parker just took a vacation because France wasn't that good that summer.
