Every year, the Spurs comes back from the Rodeo Road Trip as a better team than before.
What specifically was done to make to improvement happen?
Is it because the the more time the players spend together, or does Pop make more speeches to players, or is it just because they sense that the post-season is near?

the more time together.
As opposed to being at home, you have to be around each other more, you eat together more, you hang out more, go to movies together.
Just team chemistry is improved 10 fold.

Combination of all 3. I also think that since they are on the road they kind of are forced to hang out more together. They start to learn things about one another that they might have never learned. Also they know that the post season is coming and it's about that time to start turning it on.

I think it's the more time together in difficult times. I believe that every predicament is a chance to develop relationships. When the spurs are struggling early in the season, they usually rely on the Rodeo trip to blow change for them. What's the magic in this?
I think, an opportunity to face adversity together (and without moral support from home crowds -or you may say comfort zones) gives them the great chemistry they have after the rodeo trip.

Is it magic? Or magnets?
My personal theory is that coming home to a week's worth of residual livestock fumes somehow toughens them. I think Jordan credited elephant shit with helping the Bulls come back strong following their annual circus trip.

It has more to do with the timing of the trip itself, this time of year they start to care
