I'm convinced.

Well, he was a franchise player a decade ago. Makes sense for a team that needs to "get younger"...

Five years after retirement and I believe he is still better than Oberto or Elson.

even though hes close to as old as Moses Malone when played for the Spurs. I doubt David wants to come back.

Elson no shit

Oberto, a little bit

I wouldn't be surprised if the front office tries to get David Robinson out of retirement. He is the only big name that the front office can land. Nobody else wants to play in SA. The Spurs front office is a joke. The end the world is near and you can put all the blame on them.

I was shocked to see that David wasn't ripped at all vs. the anatomy lesson he when he was playing. He's put on some pounds.

Damn, Becky Hammon is one cute lady.

He's a better shooter than Kidd, I'll grant you that.

Sign him as your point guard and you can trade Tony for Ricky Davis and Smush Parker.

Why not he can still shoot it better than Jacque Vaughn.

He could probably play for one or two games until his back and knees and who knows what else what hurt so much he was done for the season.

He'd be better than Elson at least, and maybe he could share some bball IQ with Elson

He's going into the HOF at this time next season...if we sign him let's do it after that.

Would he be the first current HOF to actively play?

Hmmm...I don't know, I think Bob Cousy might have done it.

After what he has done in the all star weekends...I'm convinced, bring him back. If he could shoot half court he can shoot mid range.

If he did come back, he should be signed at the deadline (for playoff qualification purposes that is) and just use the time to get back into shape. Pop would then use the last 5 games of regular season to get David into game shape (and to re-introduce the hi-low plays into the playbook). With that timing David wouldn't have to endure the full wear and tear of the regular season on his knees/back etc.... and be fresh for the playoffs.

Okay...Serious question.

Would you rather trade Elson or sign D-Rob at the deadline?

Personally, I'd rather bring D-Rob back.

He's well over 30, and has no corn rows. It's a slippery slope when you start signing those older "character" guys, Ghost. They could be keeping a legit ballah off the roster.

Robert Parish was just reaching his prime at that age.

Robert Parrish needed a walker at that age, although he was still lacing them up. His prime was in Boston, 15 years earlier.

Good point.

Think we can get Sean Williams from the Nets?

I was thinking about this too. even at his age he is an upgrade over Elson and he still more athletic than Oberto.

lol I'd be for it but his retirement sendoff was just too perfect to mess up. Going out on top, many great players dream to go off into the sunset like 50.
