SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- The Utah Jazz reached agreement Wednesday on a one-year contract with forward Michael Ruffin, who played last season in Europe.
Ruffin averaged 8.2 points and 7.0 rebounds per game in European Cup play with Spanish club Caprabo Lleida last season. In this summer's Rocky Mountain Revue, he impressed the Jazz by pulling down 7.1 rebounds per game.
Ruffin played sparingly in two seasons with the Chicago Bulls, never averaging more than 2.6 points per game. In 2001-02, he played for the Philadelphia 76ers, averaging 1.1 points per game.
