Meanwhile, league insiders say Dallas also has been working the phones for a big man, focusing mostly on Denver's Nene, out after cancer surgery, and Kenyon Martin, a Dallas high school product finally regaining his health after knee operations.
Martin averaged 35 minutes in three games last week and is averaging a season-best 15.3 points and 7.6 rebounds in seven February games.

Ugh, don't want his contract. Cuban is really going to win a title or go broke trying :lol
Also, it's Sam Smith, when has he ever been right about anything? Why would the Nuggets want to help a Western competitor even if Cuban was willing to take on that contract?

Why would Denver make a move to make DALLAS better? Doesn't make sense to me. We're not talking about a team that's not going anywhere. Denver would be stupid to deal with Dallas, a team that they might face in the playoffs. I call bullshit on this article!

U should have just typed Sam Smith in the title of the thread so i wouldnt have wasted my time clicking on it
In a further development, the NBA has taken all reasonability and logical thinking away from signing and trading procedures. Consequently, the San Antonio Spurs are currently engaged in contract negotiations with Stretch Armstrong, Chuck Norris, and God.

HONESTLY, if the Mavs could wrap up one Maybyner Hilario (NENE) then I'd really prop them ESPECIALLY if they still had JET, Dirk, and Josh. Hell of a move. Just don't think it's happening.

Dallas doesn't have very many assets left to trade. Thorn and the Nets have practically "raided their cupboard" bare.

Yeah, what's left for Dallas to trade?
Shawn Bradley?
Roy Tarpley?

It would be cool if there was a basketball player named Wally Martin.
