Which rivalry do you think is the better one? The current rivalry between the mavs and suns or the old rivalry between the 01-04 kings and the 01-04 mavs? and why?

My exact thoughts. Whenever i watch the Mavs and Suns both seemed subdued and its a great matchup and all but there isn't the hatred there. Dirk and Nash being butt buddies probably explains that.

You can't have a rivalry unless the teams have met in the playoffs... when it matters.

Mavs and Suns aren't as big of a rivalry as Mavs and Kings were. The comparison should be Mavs vs Kings, and Mavs vs Spurs.

Mavs vs. Spurs is better.
