Now that i have your attention:

Cosidering all the trading in the West would any of you spurs fans offer to trade Tim Duncan straight up (forget about the numbers) to Orlando for Dwight Howard?

After watching him this weekend, he just reaffirms my previous evaluation that "He is f#cking Awesome"

heck no man it's tim freakin duncan.

midgetonadonkey
02-19-2008, 05:13 PM
Why? Because he can throw a ball into the hoop and everyone calls it a dunk? Or is it because he put on a Superman cape?

UNTRADEABLE sorry

Oh wait, is it because his coach called him out for not concentrating on D?

Is that why he's "awesome"?

Twice in 2 days.
Leave Duncan and the word "trade" out of the same sentence.

Even he knew that he fucked up that dunk, but everyone was all hype about it, so he just went with it.

He didnt have the distance to finish the dunk...the stunt was funny and unique, but he didnt finish the dunk because he didnt jump far enough...he got lucky when the ball went through the hoop on the throw down.

Even the announcers were playing it off like he planned to do that...so stupid...

Medvedenko

Yeah, but remember TD missed his dunk in the allstar game....

Dwight's Dunking ability > TD's dunking ability....sad that's what people constitute as a quality player now a days.

I would love to have Howard, but you do realize that you asked Spurs fans if they would be willing to trade the best player in franchise history?

HELL NO

Not now when he's still kicking NBA ass, and not in 5 years when he's hitting the end of his career. I would have flipped if the front office traded Robinson towards the end of his career - sure his numbers were down but you don't trade someone who's given that much to your franchise.

Without Duncan leading this team it just wouldn't be the same, like the guy said, its TIM FREAKIN DUNCAN.

Besides, would you trade Dirk for Dwight? (and Dirk isn't even in the same category as TiMVP).

Forget DHo, he's good but not as good as Duncan.

How about this.... Duncan for Lebron straight up? Do you trade in the face of the franchise for Lebron?

Maybe when Howard can do something on offense other than dunk, like hit a jumpshot, a hookshot or assist a teammate, for example.

Watch defenses push him away from the basket and force R. Lewis and H. Turkoglu to beat them in the playoffs.

So your beliefs are reaffirmed because of what goes on in the AS weekend? :lol

That's the equivalent to saying, hey, my beliefs regarding what happened to the WTC are reaffirmed after reading one of mouse's posts . . .

Unbelieveable what some people consider concerning Duncan. :drunk He's going nowhere except to more NBA finals and eventually to the HOF. He's a Spur for life IMO.
Untradeable and this subject should be unthinkable and is to most Spurs fans.

those two words should be illegal when put together on spurs talk!!! i wouldnt trade duncan for pau gasol & dwight howard, not because duncan is ten times better than them at the moment its called respect and i would rather have him retire here on half a leg than to be traded for some young guy and throw our franchise player to the dumpster. i could care less if we suck for 3yrs of his twilight we peak together and we fall together. i got so pissed when i saw the thread title cause i thought theres no way in hell and if its true pop should be let go..... please dont make up false titles to your thread, esp about our timmy

sif Magic would agree to that.
TD with 2 years remaining and on a downward spiral.
Howard in his prime with many good years to come.

TD will retire a spur, he's part of the place.

If the spurs were selfish and were looking to the future they'd have to do it cos just like we built a team round Timmy, a team can be built around Howard.

Duncan is tradeable, contrary to the sentiment on this board.

Who would bet against the FO trading him for Lebron James or Kevin Durant if it was on the table. Kobe Bryant would still be a better value as well as of 2010-2011.

Anyway, Duncan has 2 or 3 years left so only way he leaves is if it's on his request.
