Last Comic Standing 6 in Houston was a rip off and I have the proof.

If anyone sees Chris Duel posts in here today someone try and ask him if Jennie Jackie wants the story if not I will just email it to someone else.
thanks.

You travel 200 miles to find out they already have the comics they need.

There was around 200 comics that came from places like Dallas and Oklahoma, are you saying they have no right to be upset?

It's not really the fact they have the comics they want already. It's the fact that they have you sleep outside and then go through the auditions. Since I do it as a hobby I had a great time getting drunk and meeting people. But many other comics are trying to make a career in stand up and they should not be made fools of.

I knew something was up when they had us do side by side auditions 12 at a time. The two girls doing the audition just sat in a chair. then after you did your set they put your application in a stack.

They did not mark any of the applications nor did they put some in one stack and put some in another.

Then they said you will get a phone call around 1 pm. If you don't get a call then you didn't make it to the next round.

So about 100 comics who had placed their home phone number on the application and was not sure if maybe someone at home thought the call was a telemarketers and maybe deleted the call went in person to find out if they made it to the next round.

Some young guy came out and said if your phone didn't ring then your not going to the next round.

Many found it odd how they did not know anyone who move to the next level. Out of 200 comics surely someone had made it.

That's when it hit me they never intended to call anyone. they just wanted the large crowds to show up so it looks good on TV.

What I don't get is why have those two girls determining if you get to meet the real judges after all what are the judges there for if your going to have to get past them?

That makes them the judge and why not just tell the comic after his or her set that they didn't make it?

What is sad is many could have got the next bus or plane home but was told they might get a call around 4pm. I don't think it's right to lie to people like that and NBC might be exposed by one of those upset comics.

Seeing as comics are among the most bitter motherfuckers on the planet, I expect the story to break very soon.

Furthermore, I expect no one to care.

You do have a point. Comics today are assholes. I am old school 1984-1987 era. Back then we did stand up to make folks laugh and have a good time, We were happy just to get the free drinks.

But comics today want to be a star and want their friends to say 'Look he is a comic!'
Some of the most rude people I have ever met are comics. But every 20 assholes you meet that one young nice comic who is funny and wants to do it for the right reasons you kinda feel for the vato.

I was talking to some old school comics that were giving me the 411 prior to the show about what took place last season. (last comic standing 5) One comic has a friend who works for NBC and apparently one of the judges Alonzo Bodden who is very homophobic was sitting next to Ant who is very gay, and ant put his hand on Alonzo's head and he got pissed and went to the producers about it.

that's when they got rid of Ant (who was there to be an asshole) and they replaced the Judges and tried a new set up to speed up the lines and to show the public that the LCS show is legit.

LCS has had many controversial bad press in the past. It's just a matter of time before this season Lies and laughs hits the www.

As for no one giving a shit well that can be said for many topics you read lately even some you started.

LCS,

Because it happened in Houston and not SA, it is less likely that Jeanne Jakle or the someone from the San Antonio Current would pursue the story.

I could be wrong, though. You might want to write Jeanne at [email protected]

I can probably locate her phone number for you. I have a few contacts at the San Antonio Current as well. E-mail me if you want them.

I would suggest you go to the Houston Chronicle's web site. Find their entertainment writers or media critic and send e-mails to them. The story would have more punch in the city where it took place.

I made a few Beer runs and would drive down the long line giving out free long necks.

The security guards drank just as much as the comics! :smokin
