Terrible execution at both ends to end the Q.

So you pressure Paul and make him drive?

DazedAndConfused

Hornets making this one interesting. Better not take Duncan out for the rest of the game, when you take away CP3's penetration their entire offense flounders.

Pop was giving Damon Stoudamire some confidence on execution..too bad he messed on both ends.

And just like that the Hornets make a game of it again. 9 points is nothing. Need a big 4th quarter and hope the Hornets tire out.

The Spurs aren't the Suns, and arent gonna play Duncan for 45 minutes in February.

Ruff,

Horry has ALWAYS looked like that.

Come on... :)

I know, but it never ceases to amaze me - the question is HOW does he do that? I mean, most of the time he looks like his hips are gone and he can't bend his knees, but that dunk looked like 1994 rookie Horry... he is an enigma.

Amuseddaysleeper

We're gonna win this by 10+

It would really suck to drop one tonight even if it is an impressive Hornets team.

The time to kick up the extra gear for the stretch run begins now.

So you pressure Paul and make him drive?

He shoots 34.4% from 3, so it looks like the right decision to give up the 3, but when the momentum is with the Hornets, I think you make him drive... 6 of one, 1/2 dozen of the other.

T Park
02-23-2008, 10:19 PM
They didn't play their starters hardly at all in the second half last night, so they are prob ok.

Disagree.

You give up an and1, not only do you give up 3 points, but someone like Udoka or Duncan gets a foul.

Damon played it good.

As I say that Vaughn comes in for him :lol

Pops over reaching faith in a one dimensional Michael Finley is unbelievable.

Finley's been playing well off the bench. So well that Pop will probably be able to keep Ginobli in the starting lineup.

However, Finley isn't going to be any good sitting an entire quarter then expected to come in hot. He only played 7 minutes in the 1st half and sat the entire 3rd.

They've looked tentative all quarter, not moving the ball or cutting well - I wonder why? It might be the lack of set rotations. Pop has to make some choices soon and settle the team into a rhythm.

Not to give to a big head Ducks, but didn't someone say the other day that Bruce needs Tony back to get better looks. Who Had the assist on the one? I believe it was TP yet again. That was definitely a big shot from Bruce.

The player I was watching it on stuffed up though after Horry misssed that three from the corner. What happened after that?

TD to me is one of the 10 best players of all time. I am 27 years old and he is the 2nd best in my lifetime i have ever seen, Jordan being the best. I think he can win 6 rings, if he stays healthy. Watch him retire with that much bling and the haters will have no choice but to admit they were wrong about his all time status.

Nuggets lost to the Bucks last night, they are out of the playoff picture for now. Crazy. :wow

That same Nuggets team if they were in the East could probably be a 4-8 seed. Right now, the Nets, Wizards, and Sixers are all in the Eastern Conference playoffs, and all 3 teams have losing records below .500.

It was disappointing to see them let the Hornets back in it.
It wasn't surprising, the Spurs get complacent with big leads all the time.

I think it was beneficial that they withstood the Hornets run and got the win. It was good to see the poise, the Championship form, the ability to keep it together and make the plays they had to for the win.

I think that serves a purpose that a blowout doesn't. They need to remember how to win tight games, how to keep the focus and not give up when a good team comes back on them.

The Wolves game is another good example.

The Spurs have come out of their mid-winter blues, during that slump it looked like they forgot everything about being Champions.
This is when they put it together, riding the bonding of the RRT into SPAM.

It's a long season, a grind to get to April. The ups and downs get the most devoted Spurs fan wondering if they will even make the Playoffs, never mind go all the way.

No team holds it together for the entire 82 games. My point about remembering how to win tight games is just that. This is when the Spurs "remember" who they are and their focus gets clearer. Their goal is in sight now, it's easier to see in February than in November.
