I know that we just signed him and this may be a seriously stupid question, but why hasnt he played any yet? is it so that he can understand the system or what?
just wondering, thanks!
and if i get flamed for this question, i guess i deserve it, i just hadnt read anything anywhere or heard anything either. Thanks again :toast

well they traded for him for 1.
2 because he got to the arena about a couple hours before the game started

I think he arrived about 3 hours before gametime Saturday. Hardly had time to find him a uniform and introduce him to his new teammates, much less explain any plays to him.
Bet we get to see him tonight though.

To important a game to work him in. Tonight should be different. The ATL is no NOK.

According to the Express News he says he's catching on quite nicely. A little extra work after practice with Damon S. (and apparantly a coach or 2) to get more familiar with the sets.

It would probably be good to get him some time with Duncan or Horry since that is probably who he will playing with most the time. Plus both those guys could easily be a pretty good in game coach for him when it comes to learning the plays. Really he needs to know 2 things where to be on defense and who to get the pass from for his 15 foot jumper.

Okay, he has played 5 mins...5 Great mins. He was always moving, made a jumper got a layup an offensive board and a few defensive boards, and a block. Why did Pop not let him play anymore.

He replaced Elson, so he gets Elson's minutes. :)

He was probably a little more lost on offense than Pop wanted. I saw he was wide open a couple of times but I guess Parker didn't recognize his ability to hit that kind of shot and never passed it to him.

Kurt Thomas in his 5 minutes played better than Elson ever did in the last year and a half.
