The weather couldnt have been better. I took my wife and baby down to the coast to enjoy it, and so that i could get some work done on my boat trailer.

Days like yesterday make me wish i lived down there. The water was crystal clear, temp was about 84F and not a cloud in the sky...Pained me to have to work on the trailer most of the day, but i did manage a few minutes of play time before it was time to load up and come home...

Anyone else do anything to enjoy our weather?

Did you catch anything? You need a jack plate

Have a jackplate i guess its just hard to see in the pictures.

No i didnt even get a line wet. I spent all day saturday cutting and welding the axles on the trailer. Most of teh day sunday was spent painting and putting the trailer back together.

The boat was in the water just to get to the trailer mostly. I ran it around a bit sunday afternoon just because i couldnt stand it, but had to trailer it earlier than id have liked to get ready to come back home.

what was wrong with the trailer ? I don't think I could have driven down there and lauched just to work on it. I would at least thrown some cut mullet out and keep the rod within arms reach

Thanks, ive been slowly but surely making her my own.

Those pictures were in St. Charles Bay, where we have our place. Sunday was amost no wind, and bright sunny afternoon. The water was some of the prettiest ive seen in a while.

It was hard not to throw a line out, but i was tryign to stay on task, since my grandpa had brought down his welder and torch to help me out. Basically the trailer is a duel axel. The axles, near the spindle of the tire were awful rusty and my uncle (previous owner of this boat), being the dumbass that he can be, decided to do his own brand of fixing it, and really did a shit job of it. The rear wheels were bowed out about 15 degrees or so, and the welds were all over the palce. We basically torched the rear spindles off and re welded / braced them with some new stainless. Then painted and greased the axles.

Im pretty confident in it now, in case there are any big storms this summer and i need to bring it back into town.

Yesterday was a gorgeous day... not too many February days like that one so that's cool you got to spend it at the beach.

We spent our beautiful day indoors sadly, but at the Spurs season ticket holder event thing.... so that was worth missing the weather. I'm surprised I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere (though I don't read EVERY thread)...

ESPN had a link to SpursReport where someone supposedly saw Brent Barry there yesterday, followed by tons of comments from people there who didn't see him... I didn't see him there either.

Your baby is so precious SP. Has he been out on the boat yet? How old is he now? What a wonderful childhood you are giving him, many memorable
times spent on the Texas Gulf Coast. He'll know all the words to "Margarittaville" by the time he's three :toast
