View Full Version : ABC is a piece of shit

That's right. Fuckers.

Since I live on the east coast, I don't get the Spurs game today. I get to watch the New York Knicks. Whoopdie freakin' do.

I miss the NBA on NBC. They did a better job.

ABC is simply a piece of shit. As if the game is televised nationally and I don't even get to see it.

I hope that ABC goes down in flames and dies.

So there.

Yep. Same thing is happening to me too. I wish they could put it on league pass somehow :(.

A good sports bar somewhere should be able to get the west coast feed.

Same!!

I don't get this game either since i live in Philadelphia.

Gay ass ABC piece of shit, no one wants to see the Knicks.

ABC is fucking gay. Why don't they just give us the damn game.

ABC blows as does all television in Latin America. Example:

In Brazil, while soccer (ugh) is the main sport, basketball is also very revered down here. So what gets televised on ESPN down here? Fucking golf tournaments and baseball games. As if anyone could give a fuck about either sport down here. Fucking retards. I can't wait to get live game feeds on the net, damnit.

I agree, put NBA back on NBC. I get the spur's game, but I sure miss the times when NBC would sometimes show up to three NBA games in a day.

NBA League Pass is the only way to go, if you want multiple games/day. I often watch 2-3 games (with timeout/halftime peeks at others) between 6 PM CT (east coast games start ) thru 12 PM CT (west coast games finish). Most nights, there is at least one decent playoff-teams matchup and often more.

The NBA LP video quality is very variable and often distractingly shitty (most noticeable on large-screen TVs), but at $169/season, it's extremely high value for money.

I have the friggin League Pass and I still think I'm screwed.

The only possible hope is that NBA-TV might be showing the Spurs game starting at 2:30 EST (they have a game llisted from 2:30-4 but won't say which teams).

Fuck ABC!

NBA league Pass is up to $ 180 dollars now that the early registration price is gone. Unfortunately, for a lot of people their pocket books can't support all their team spirit. I think the cable companies take a lot of fun out of being a sports fan with their shameless greed.

come on! $170 for 100's of hours viewing is damn cheap. $170 would buy only 3 or 4 SBC nosebleed tickets.

My favorite thing about NBA on NBC was a) the opening music and b) the laser peacock to start the game. That was just cool. Also ABC kept the crappy announcers from NBC but got rid of Bob Costas, that was just stupid.

This is for Brodels: I left Austin in 1990 to come to the northeast. I was a Spurs season ticket holder since 1972. For years I couldn't even get west coast scores until the next day, let alone ever watch the Spurs on TV. People here in the DC area hate successful clubs, especially from Texas. Even when the Spurs play an early game, the Post may not even have the box for the game.

DirectV has saved the day! I'm working today, so can't watch the game. Tivo allows me to record the game and watch it when I get home, with a cool one.

Ahhh! Life is good this year. (speaking as a long-time Spurs fan)

Just that both spurs and knicks games are on ABC and only SA area gets the SPurs game. So the Spurs game is NOT ON LP.

Yeah, in Boston we got to see the fourth quarter of the Spurs game. It was a fucking blowout against the Knicks though, they should have switched earlier.

ABC does fucking suck. NBC did a much better job all around,

I was pleased to get the fourth quarter up here in Maine.

I would love to have league pass, but I just got out of graduate school and I'm looking to restart my career. I simply can't afford LP, let alone cable, at this point.

I live in CT and they showed the Spurs on ABC here.

At the end of the game, all three commentators agreed that "The Spurs have shown once again why they are the team to beat this year."

Good Times.

What did ABC say about Rasho GW?

Something to the effect of this would be a complete team if they got rid of Rasho?

This happened to me too and it was the 2nd time - you buy the friggin pass and then screwed as "piece of shit ABC" and NBA splits games. Knicks completely mailed it in today so other game was garbage.

Glad you in SA got to watch game.

Thanks for good Blog for those who contributed today!

The color commentator was Mark Jackson Duff, I think. And yeah, he sucked ass. I loved the guy's game, but I hate him on the air. But, as a general rule ABC fucking blows.

I miss the days of Snapper Jones, Costas, and Albert.

Some of you from the game chats might remember that one night, I was so pissed that TW-Austin didn't show the game, I went to Target during the game just to buy myself a clock radio to catch 'OAI.

Jeez folks, calm down! I live on the East Coast, and yeah, I was bummed that ABC went with the 'regional' Knicks-Cavs trash game. But you know, I have League Pass and NBA-TV, so I figure I get to see about 99% of the Spurs games this season. God forbid I miss one of 82 games so I can spend some time with the family or get out of the frigging house and get some exercise.
