Have you talked with him lately, Kori?

Before the holidays, I did. He was coming to the states for Christmas but I haven't talked to him since. I'll call his old cell phone number tomorrow and see if it works.

He called me tonight during the Spurs game -- thus I missed almost the whole 2nd quarter because I was talking to him on the phone from the restroom (so I could hear).

He's doing fine. He didn't have a great stretch in Italy. His team sucked; he wasn't getting a lot of touches. He had an opportunity to come back to the states and start on the CBA team. So that's where he is right now.

Good luck to him.

Hell more than likely catch an NBDL eye, then maybe an NBA eye.

I don't think he's started yet, but he's doing quite well in his first five games:

24.8 min, 12.3 pts, .581 fg%, 5.0 reb, 1.3 ast, 1.0 blk

He and Tommy Smith will be starting soon.

You are right, he hasn't started yet. But that's the plan it seems.

He called me from Tommy Smith's cell phone actually (Noel hasn't gotten a new one yet). They were in Sioux Falls watching the team that they are going to be playing tomorrow night.

I think that Tommy Smith is an NBA player. He's really long and can finish. I think he'll be in the league soon.

Noel Felix has a chance. He just needs to bulk up and really work on his all-around game. It'd be awesome to see FSP's own in the league one day.

Good luck.

Noel Felix has a chance.

Well, I lectured/consoled/mentored him enough tonight that he should have a good game plan now. :lol If he works hard, he'll make it. He has a good head on his shoulders, great athleticism, a good heart and a strong faith.

seems like a great kid, hope he can keep himself focused and chase that dream, wish we could all do it sometimes.

They both started for the first time last night.

Noel led the team with 19 points, 13 boards, 2 blocks in 35 minutes. But he fouled out :( and they lost by 2.

Tommy Smith had 16 points, 6 rebounds, 6 steals.
