Does the NBA actually care??? Why doesn't each player sign over a cheque for 5% of this year's salary to New Orleans' redevelopment instead of all going and pretending to work for a couple hours - which actually SLOWS down the work that was going on because the workers have to pause and make room for the media/cameras, etc.
I saw a video of STERN doing some painting and I swear there were 20+ camera flashes going off continuously. You CAN NOT tell me that STERN doing this ACTUALLY SPED UP the rebuilding. Same with all those other NBA players (seemed like all of them) going around pretending like their doing something.
If you're making $10 million a year just sign a damn cheque for 1million and let the pro's do the work instead of going there and slowing down their work when they try to accomodate your media frenzied appearance......
