Out of Hand Signatures

Okay, too many of you have signatures that are getting completely out of hand. On a 20-something inch monitor, I shouldn't have to scroll a full screen length just to get past your signature

The answer isn't to tell everyone to turn their sigs off in their control panel. Instead, some of you need to reduce the size.

Huge pictures and video clips that take forever to download aren't appealing to anyone.

Most of you are smart enough to look at your signature and figure out if I'm talking to you.

If you are unclear, post in this thread and I'll tell you to reduce it (or not).

Don't make me make a hard rule about this. Just be cool and comply.

Taking TPark's as an example (and there are others), seeing them once was fine, but given his frequency of posting it was like 20 times in every long thread because it would pop up on every gotdanged page.

Just a thought and I don't know if it's even possible. Thanks for helping clean up the clutter.

I was annoyed about sigs a few months ago and wrote a very basic Greasemonkey (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748) (Firefox add-on) script to block all the enormous sigs so that if I forget to log in or don't feel like it they still don't show up for me.

Search and sigs are off right now, probably due to the traffic with the game.
Maybe because of server problems.

Search and sigs are always turned off for big games and the playoffs. It helps the site run smoother. Maybe the 10 game win streak has increased traffic.

I'm certain that if Kori decided to remove sigs permanently she would make an announcement.

FF never did that for me. I guess I could go that way too and make the style for sigs have a height with overflow set to auto, but I just wanted them to go away altogether at the time. :p:
