That’s why they win championships,” said Mason. “They have guys who step up and make plays and they’re a very unselfish team. That’s the type of team that the majority of the teams in the NBA want to be like.”
:clap

Good for him.
I like Mason too, I saw a lot of him when he was a Sonic.

You like to hear players who recognize the Spurs' way of doing things.

Mason can come off the bench for the Spurs anytime.

He does not do any one thing particularly well, but is steady in all facets of the game.

I'd love for Mason to be a Spur too. Always liked him.

Sign him up.

WAIT....
Does he meet the age requirement?

Love his game, too. Would do very well with the Spurs.

To your last point, Mason DOES NOT meet the standard age requirement for consideration for the Spurs. A player MUST BE 34 years of age or older to qualify.

Maybe we should send him a broucher. Just to let him know his options when the time comes.

I'd argue that his jumpshot is below steady, however, he does attack the rim particularly well.

I'll always remember my 1st Spurs game during the final playoffs played in the The Alamodome. Round 1, game 2 and Mason threw down a viscious dunk while the Sonics had already won the game. He was young and stupid than and The Cowboy never did anything to change my mind about him.

Desmond Mason is one of those nice players that will waste away on bad teams. Shame, he would help the Spurs big time.

I've always thought that he was a good guy, but not particularly bright on the court. You know, one of those players that fail in our system. As for his hops? Take a good look now. He's 30, and those will be going over the cliff in a year or two. Then, you have a nice guy who's 6'5" with a shaky jumper and subpar ball handling skilz.

Exactly, just cause he's respectful to the Spurs doesnt mean he needs to be on the bench next season.

I like hearing stuff like this from players.... the media is over hyping the Lakers and talking about them so much it's beginning to be sickening

I've liked Mace for a while and have longed for him to become a Spur.

Mason's always been a personal favorite of mine.

Even when he did that chickenshit 360 with like 3 seconds left at the end of game 2 of the 2002 series? Man, the Spurs were fucking pissed after that, and came and destroyed their asses in game 3.
