and Smush was our starting PG the last 2 years...and people were wondering why the Lakers weren't that good with him and Kwame starting.

Kobe doesn't make other guys better. Kobe isn't a leader.

A team that fielded fucken Smush Parker (out of the league, D-leaguer), Kwame fucken Brown, and Luke Walton...all of whom played significant minutes or started were a rebound away from knocking out the Suns.

Kobe doesn't make other players better.

The Miami Heat and the agent for banished guard Smush Parker continued to negotiate a potential contract buyout, but there was no word on an agreement by Saturday night. Per league rules, Parker would have had to be released by the Heat by 11:59 p.m. Eastern on Saturday to maintain playoff eligibility if he joins another team.

Parker, away from the team since a Nov. 27 incident with a valet attendant, has a two-year contract that includes a $2.4 million player option for next year.

That first part is really hilarious. No team in their right mind would want Smush for the playoffs. When the Lakers played the Suns the last 2 years in the playoffs it was like playing 4 on 5 most of the time when he was on the floor. Take a look at these stats:

Parker playoff shooting stats
2006:
Game 1: 5-13
Game 2: 3-6
Game 3: 9-16
Game 4: 2-12
Game 5: 1-7
Game 6: 0-5
Game 7: 4-13
(.333 shooting % and definitely got worse as the series progressed)

2007 (PJ yanked Smush from the starting lineup 2 games before the playoffs started - probably because he thought they weren't going to win anyway so might as well give Jordan Farmar some starting playoff experience):
Game 1: 0-1
Game 2: 0-1
Game 3: 0-4
Game 4: 3-6
Game 5: 0-2
(.214 shooting %)

Smush is also a very poor defensive player. He should take his contract money (not a buyout) for the next two years and go play in Europe again.

:lol yeah i know. Smush doesn't care about that anyway he just wants his full salary and will not be bought out for anything less. He knows he will never make that type of money again. That shit's funny. Miami has no one to blame but themselves, why they signed him for 2 years is a mystery to me. :lol
