Ok so this game wasn't perfect, it was still quite entertaining. I was afraid the Spurs would be exta sluggish because of the back to back but they didn't lack energy even though they couldn't get all their shots to fall. Both Tony and Tim played around a little with Devin when they first came out, he looked far too happy to see them. :lol I guess they are familiar faces even though they were never on the same team.
Manu signed A LOT of autographs. There were so many fans so it was nice of him to do so many. The people behind the bench were pretty disappointed when they thought he was only going to sign for the people with floor seats but he went back and got a lot of them when he was done. Horry signed what maybe 4? :lol He might have done some before I got there though and it isn't something they absolutely have to do so I'll refrain from pointing my finger at him.
I watch all of the Spurs games and even though Tony had enough points against the Bucks Saturday I still felt like I was literally watching his game get back into form before my eyes. At first I didn't want him trying the jump shots because they haven't been falling but then I realized that he only makes those shots because he has the confidence to take them. I was glad he didn't let Devin show him up after complimenting him and admitting he is a tough player to guard. I had to do this :clap when he whipped out the spin move in the 4th quarter.
Manu didn't have a huge night but I felt like he could have made more shots if it had been necessary and it was a pleasure watching him do what he did. It was nice to see Ime's defense up close. I don't remember who he was guarding when I saw them play the Knicks but I think guarding RJ was more impressive because he's been on fire lately.
Of course I felt bad for Tim who must have been mentally cursing himself out. I hope he gets his game going again because it looks like he is extra hard on himself when he's off. When other guys are off Tim does a little consoling but he's just flat out mad when it is him who is off.
Overall it was a great game to see. The Nets weren't horrible so it wasn't a boring easy win, but it also didn't stay so close that I thought it would fall apart. I was able to have a really good time. I hope the rest of you guys who went had fun as well!

Oh and how come I never knew Manu wore braces?

Very nice pics, glad you had fun. It's nice to hear Harris Parker and Duncan joking around a bit before the game. I bet he misses the good rivalry between the Mavs & Spurs, but oh well, he can enjoy the rivalry between the Nets and.... and..... and.... I have no idea.

No :lol, I actually prefer a thin beard. This one is getting a little thick I guess but he looked good. Do you know how long he's had braces?

Thank you. That is one of the best pictures of Duncan I've seen in a long time.

You're Welcome! My camera must like Tim, in some of the shots where the Spurs were moving around there is a blur but Tim usually comes out clear.:lol Here's a few more Timmy for you.

I think the Timmy picture where he is smiling is the best... :)

ARE YOU KIDDING???

Why do you think he suddenly turned into Kobe Jr all of a sudden?

At the very least. I'm still breathing fast. :lol

I can't even begin to pick a favorite yet. They're still over-powering me.
The smile is great, but they're all so close-up and clear.
I love them all. He's got that great somber expression in one, and the focus at the FT line.

There's something different about pics fans take. They seem more personal than the ones the professionals take.

Someday I'll get my biggest personal dream and get great seats to see him play and take a zillion shots of him.

I'm happy to share! I don't know any Spurs fans here so I can't gush over them with anyone else.:lol

Greens requested more Manu and Tony. I don't think I have any good ones of them together. The kid who dries the floor got in my way while I was snapping one of them walking down the court. Sometimes I miss a good picture moment because I'm sitting there staring.

You've got plenty of Spurs fans here that will gush over them with you!
Post all you want, all you've got.

I won't push my luck, I'm thrilled with the Duncan's you've posted. But...If you've got any more of him feel free to bring them on! :)

Wow The Arena looks half empty, I guess the Spurs don't attract that many people despite being the "defending champs"

YAY, thanks so much for posting more Manu and Tony pix!

I really like the quality of your pix...

By the way, how were your seats?

If you were seating close to the Spurs bench, did you notice which Spurs players talk the most during the game? I sometimes hear it's Robert Horry, other times it's Bruce Bowen...etc...And I always love hearing details about the game, since being there is so different than watching the game at home...

A LOT of those fans were there to see the Spurs. People get there right before the game starts, so the pictures where the guys are just warming up are still a little early to judge the crowd. The Nets never fill an arena though. There were a lot more people last night than there are on just about any other night. The thing is, Nets fans expect the Nets to lose these games so some of them don't go, and non-Nets fans have to really like a team to pay for those overpriced tickets. If having a few of the ex-Mavericks makes the team any better, it will probably be harder to get a good seat in the future but right now no one wants to pay those prices to see them.

You notice people who have great seats seem to be the only ones who take a camera to the game, why is that?

ps: great picks can I use one in a wallpaper? I will put your name on it.

Damn, that was awesome. Thank you. The very first pic says averything you need to know about Manu Ginobili. I think he is the most competative player in the NBA. Tons of people here would disagree, but i would build a franchise around Manu over any other current/former Spur. Heart

Someone do cpr on duncan228. :lol Girl, did you receive the Timmy jersey boys video?

Spursofthemoment Those are really wonderful pictures. It's really something else when you're so close to them. I especially love the Manu close up in one of your later posts. I can just print that out and it would already be a poster. :)

Do you know how long he's had braces?

He's had that since last offseason. You can barely see it in some of his interviews (other than some telling mannerisms) and especially when he plays, so maybe that's why you didn't notice before.

I'm glad you guys like the pictures!

Tenacious I don't mind you using the pictures at all :). I didn't look at the bench much until they called time outs so I don't really know who talked a lot during the game, but Bowen seemed to talk more than anyone else to me. I think the chatting was limited because Tim was upset. I saw Tony talk to Tim a bit. I don't think Horry talked a lot last night, but he got up and profiled a lot.:lol

And Carina I can't believe I completely missed the braces.:lol I'm a big Manu fan but since I live in NJ I only really get to see the games. On League Pass they don't let us see the interviews that are done after games and stuff.
