Just saw on C-Span that congress is passing a bill to recognize Earl Lloyd, the first African-American to play in the NBA. With about 3 minutes left to vote, there are nearly 200 "yea" votes and 0 "nay" votes.
I haven't heard if it means a specified day in his honor or anything like that, but just thought it was interesting enough that someone thought of him...
